Pov- Oakley
I woke up to my mom yelling for me. I groan and sit up on my bed. Once I stretched I get up off my bed and head towards the bathroom.
I take a quick shower. Once I'm done with that I get out and get dressed. I brush my hair and teeth. Once I'm done with that I put on my socks and shoes and head downstairs.
I go into the kitchen and see my mom standing by the stove and my dad drinking coffee while on his phone.
My mom's name is Kat. She has dark long hair and one blue eye and one brown eye.
My dad's name is Jake. He has light brown hair and bright green eyes.
And I'm Oakley. I have blue eyes mixed with green. I have light brown hair.
I walk to my mom and steal a peice of bacon off the plate.
"Hey Mom what's up?" I ask has I stuff the bacon in my mouth before she sees it.
"Cooking. Are u ready for school?" She ask turning around
"Yeah, I've been up" I say while looking away
She chuckles and shakes her head
"Sure, anyways I won't be able to drive you to school today your dad will be taking you"
I nod my head and turn to dad
"Are you ready old man?" I say while picking up my bag
"I'm not that old......yet" dad says as he gets up and puts his coffee cup in the sink
"Whatever makes your goat float"
My dad shakes his head and hugs Mom and gives her a quick kiss on her head.
I start to walk out of the kitchen with dad following.
"Oakie you have some bacon grease on your cheek" I hear mom say from the kitchen
"Thanks for telling me" I say while laughing and wipe the grease off.
Me and my dad head out the front door and get into his car. He starts his car and heads to the school.
"Hey Dad?" I ask while putting my phone away
"Yeah?" He says glancing at me for a couple if seconds then back at the road.
I sigh and then look ahead.
"What's up?" He ask
"What were you and Mom like when you guys where younger?"
"Well that's something me and your mom should tell together" he says with a smile
"Pleaseeeee dad tell meeee" I ask with puppy dog eyes
"Let's just say I was a jerk at first and changed over time" he says as he pulls up at the school
"Good enough" I say. I give my dad a quick peck on the cheek and get out of the car and headed into the school.
I see my friends and walk over to them. We been friends basically since child birth.
The loud ones in the group are Jace, Amelia, Noah, Miles, Ethan. The not so loud but could be is Nathan and Avery. The shy ones are me, Jacy and Carla.
Avery is a guy by the way. And Carla is the oldest out of all of us. And Jace and Jacy are twins.
Once they see me Amelia grabs me by the hand and drags me to breakfast with them. I can tell this is gonna be a long day.
