CHAPTER 3

            

Pov-Oakley

(Skip to lunch)

I sat at my lunch table with my group. They talk about weird things like how we all could be an illusion or how our pets could be aliens and are secretly spying on us.

Weird group of friends right.

"Hey Oakley, can I have your food?" Amelia ask

I nod my head and gave it to her. I don't eat school lunch. I go home and eat.

"Soooooooo how's life" Ethan ask as he stuffs his face with his burger.

"Fantastic"
"Great"
"Fine"
"Amazing"
"I don't know"

The last answer was from Jace. He's a weird guy.

"Mmmhmmm nice" Ethan says while smirking

I laugh a little and look at Ethan.

"And howsss your day Ethan?"

"Do you really wanna know"  he says while smiling

"Yes I really wanna know" I say while giving him a pat on his shoulder

"Okay" He breaths in until his face get red.

I GOT A PET BIRD" he screams.

People in the lunchroom turn and looked at us. I look down trying to keep my laugh in.....not really working for me.

"Okay shhhh geez Ethan not so loud" Nathan says while shaking his head trying not to smile.

"Sorry I was excited"

"It's fine" Jace says

The bell rings for us to go to our last class. We all get up throw our trash away and say our goodbyes as if it's the end of the world.

Weird friends but I'm Glad I have them.

Pov- zero

I head downstairs because Jessy yelled for me. I get to the bottom of the stairs and then feel a sharp pain through my stomach

He punched me

I fall to the floor coughing, trying to catch my breath.

"Your late" Jessy says as he turns around and sits on the couch.

I was like only a second late. That's not even late.

"Clean everything in this house and when your done go back to your room and don't come out" Jessy says as he takes a swing of his alcohol.

I nod my head real quick and go to the kitchen and start washing the dishes.

At least my rib isnt broken. Probably brusied though.

I new they where creeps. Why do I got to be here.

Ya know what would cheer me up?

A puppy. I really want a puppy.

After an hour of cleaning the dishes I start to clean off the table and counters.

I look over to the door and see Patty coming into the kitchen.

"You'll be starting school next week got that kid" she says as she opens the fridge and gets out a beer.

I nod my head quickly and get the broom and start to sweep the floor.

"SAY SOMETHING" Patty yells as she throws the bottle full of alcohol on the ground.

I flinch back a little and put my head down.

"Can't even talk, such a mute" and with that she walks out.

I Sweep up the broken glass and put it in the trash. Once I'm done I clean the living room.

Jessy and Patty where gone. I started to clean the living room, picking up trash off the table and wiping it down with a wet rag and then vacuumed the carpet.

I cleaned the living room until it was spotless. When I got done with the living room I ran to the bedroom.

I shut the door and walked to my bed, landing face first into the pillow which kinda hurt my rib.

Even though it's only nine in the morning it felt like a whole day
