(Reece's POV)

The sun had started to set and Blake had just left to go on a date, leaving George and I alone and single in our hotel room.

"Reece I'm bored." George whined.

"Me too. Why'd Blake have to be the popular one?" I chuckled.

"You know what? We have each other. Let's go on our own date." He smiled, getting up from the bed.

I knew he was joking but considering I'm madly in love with him, I couldn't help but hope that tonight would end how I've been hoping every night since I fell in love with him would end. With him in my arms.

"Where should we go?" I asked him.

"Dinner then ice skating?" He said, his eyes lighting up.

"Perfect."

We went to nandos and sat in a booth at the back where we were away from people. It was dimly lit which kind of made me nervous for some reason. He was fiddling with his hair which I found adorable. I wanted to tell him that, but I couldn't, because he's my best friend.

"What are you looking at?" He giggled nervously.

"You, obviously. But you knew that already. Where's the menu?"

He looked at me confused but handed me the menu anyways. I pretended to read it while I tried pushing the thoughts out of my head.

You've lasted this long, you can last one night.

"Reece?!" I heard along with the clicking of George's fingers.

I quickly snapped out of it and turned my head to face him, only to see we were centimetres apart.

"You good? I called you like 6 times." He asked worryingly, not moving an inch.

"F- fine, just uh.. fine." I stuttered, too focused on his eyes.

"If you say so. Let's eat." He smiled.

I just wanted to kiss him he was so close, but I couldn't. He's my best friend and that's all.

I managed to keep myself together as we ate, mucking around and joking a lot. We'd finished our meals and decided to leave for ice skating. It was silent as we were driving, that was until George broke it with the question I was dreading.

"Be honest with me, are you ever gonna tell me what you were thinking about earlier? Don't say nothing."

I sighed, unsure of what to say.

"I appreciate you looking out for me George, but I don't really want to discuss it right now."

"I understand. But we're friends, you can talk to me, remember that." He smiled sympathetically.
