First Kiss

(George's POV)

Blake, Reece, Ash, Riley and I were all playing a harmless game of truth or dare in Reece's living room.

It was Ash's turn to ask me. "Truth or dare?"

"Uh... truth."

I've never been a fan of dares, especially when they come from Ash.

"When was the last time you kissed someone?"

Maybe I should've chosen dare...

"Uh, I-" I started to panic a little. They all know I'm gay but what they don't know is that I've never actually kissed anybody. "I haven't." I answered quietly.

As much as I wanted to, I couldn't lie.

"What?! You're 18 and you've never kissed anyone?" Riley said incredulously.

"Have you actually never?" Blake said with a shocked expression.

"Is it because you're gay?" Ash then asked.

They all looked at me like I was crazy or something. And that's when I decided I'd had enough. I stood up and ran out of the room but stopped just outside of the door, curious as to what they'd say about me while I 'wasn't there'. But all I heard was silence until Reece spoke.

"I'll go check if he's okay."

And then I heard footsteps. Not wanting to talk to anyone right now, I ran up to his room and locked myself in. A few seconds later a voice broke through the silence.

"George, can I come in please?" He asked softly.

"If I say no?"

I was struggling to hold back the tears, I felt embarrassed.

"Well technically I'm allowed to come in anyways, it is my room you're in." He said with a slight cheekiness to his tone, making me smile.

"Fine." I mumbled.

He opened the door and smiled sympathetically at me.

"What's up?" He asked as he sat down next to me on the bed.

"They all think I'm lame."

My head dropped to look at my fiddling hands.

"No they don't, they were just surprised. You have nothing to be embarrassed about."

"Yes I do. I'm 18 and have never kissed anyone."

"So?" He said so simply.

"It's weird."

"It's not. And I can guarantee everyone downstairs will agree with me."

"I saw the way they looked at me Reece."

"They were just shocked. I mean, if I'm honest, I was shocked too." He admitted.

"Why is it so shocking that an 18 year old has never kissed anyone?" I asked a little harsher than I meant. He still stayed calm though.

"It's not the age thing that shocks me. It's just- I don't know.." He shook his head and looked to the ground.

"No, tell me."

"It's just that you're a really great guy. I mean, you're gorgeous and funny, you're so kind and sweet to everyone and there's so many attractive qualities about you that I guess I just assumed..." He trailed off.
