(Reece's POV)

I'd been looking forward to tonight since we'd planned it - a sleepover at Blake's with the 5 of us. Me, Blake, George, Dex and Cameron. We're all good mates so it should be fun... right?

Wrong.

"Hey guys, who wants to play truth or dare?" Dex asked with a smirk.

Everyone, of course, agreed. I did not.

"Why don't we watch a movie instead?" I tried.

"Nah, let's do something fun!"

"Alright, you guys can play, I'll just watch."

They weren't having that.

Suddenly the room filled with shouts, calling me a buzzkill and telling me to play.

"Come on mate, don't be a pussy." Dex grinned.

Guess who just dropped to the bottom of my friends list?

"Fine." I mumbled.

I used to love this game as a kid. I liked the idea of sharing secrets and doing stupid things with your mates, learning new things about each other. But then I got older, I experienced more, I grew up and over the years, grew some secrets. I learnt you don't have to share every part of your life with people. It's better not to, it gives them a hold over you.

"Oi, Reece, truth or dare?" Cameron grinned.

I sighed. "Dare, I guess."

Better to be a fool than vulnerable.

"Pick anyone in this room and kiss them."

My eyes widened along with everyone else's in the room.

"What? No! Truth."

"That's not how the game works." He smiled. After I raised my eyebrows, letting him know I wasn't kidding, he rolled his eyes and gave in. "Fine, if you won't kiss someone, tell us why?"

"Why I won't kiss anyone in this room? Easy question." I chuckled quite bitterly. "Because I don't have feelings for any..." oh. "Besides, I don't want to ruin any friendships."

That was close.

My eyes drifted to George even though now was the worst possible time. When someone caught my stare, I covered it up perfectly.

"George, truth or dare?"

He thought for a moment before answering. "Truth."

"When was the last time you fell in love?"

"Uh..." He looked caught off guard by my question. "I don't really know." He looked to his lap. "I was just- one minute I wasn't, and the next, I was."

"So... you're saying you're still in love?" I asked slowly.

"You only get one question. Dex, truth or dare?"

Pretty sure that's a yes...

"Dare."

"Leave the room for 5 minutes." George smirked.

Bless. Him.

"I love Dex, but god he seeks drama and it drives me insane." He laughed once Dex had left the room.
