The boys were going to LA for a month to write some new songs. But first, they had an 11 1/2 hour flight to get through. It was an early morning flight and let's just say the boys aren't exactly morning people.

"Blakeee, get out of bed!" George half shouted whilst hitting Blake with a pillow.

"Mhm, I'm up." Blake mumbled back.

George walked over to Reece and shook him lightly, being careful not to scare him awake.

"Reece love, you have to get up now or we'll miss the flight." He spoke softly.

"But I don't want to get up." He whined back, stuffing his face into his pillow.

"Trust me, I know. But Ben will be pissed if we miss our flight." George said, chuckling at the last part.

He mumbled some sort of response before saying, "I'll get up in a sec." opening his eyes and smiling a little at George.

"You didn't hit him with a pillow." Blake grunted as he got out of bed to shower.

George just shot him a glare in return knowing Blake knew what was going on between George and Reece. They weren't exactly a couple, but they were definitely something. They'd been out on a couple dates and have kissed a few times but it was all very new and they hadn't really discussed it. They all got ready, grabbed their stuff and got in the uber, heading towards the airport. Once they arrived, Reece noticed George tensing up. He knows George hates airports. He's fine with the flight but it's the whole customs and airport panic that freaks him out. He wanted to grab George's hand to comfort him but wasn't sure how he'd feel about it, especially in a public place. They walked in, George lingering behind them, but stopped when Reece noticed something was off. He turned to George and saw him really panicking and struggling a little to breathe.

"George, you okay?" Reece asked.

George just shook his head.

"Hey, it's gonna be okay. Just follow us." Blake said as he grabbed George's shoulders, leading him towards the nearest bathroom.

To their surprise, the bathroom was empty. George started pacing back and forth.

"I'm sorry, I know it's stupid." George spoke as he looked to the ground, still pacing.

"Don't say that, it's not stupid at all!" Reece said as he walked over to George who was now leaning against the wall.

George's breathing got worse as he started to panic more, a single tear running down his cheek.

"Blake, could you give us a minute please?" Reece said turning to look at him.

Blake nodded and left the room. Reece looked back to George and held onto his hands as he slid down the wall, letting more tears escape. Reece was now squatting in front of George with his hands firmly holding onto George's.

"George, I need you to focus on your breathing. Can you do that for me?" He asked.

George nodded in response.

"Okay, now look in my eyes. Deep breaths in and out, just like me."

George started following Reece's breathing patterns but it didn't seem to help.

"It's not working." He cried, struggling to get any air. "Why do I stress about everything?!"

"Hey hey, sshhh. It's okay." Reece spoke softly, running his fingers through George's blonde hair.

He pulled George in for a hug tight enough to make him feel safe but soft enough that he didn't feel trapped. He made sure George's head was on his heart.

"Close your eyes and make sure you keep them closed. Now listen to my heartbeat." Reece said to George.

George closed his eyes and a minute later Reece started singing, still running his fingers through George's hair.

"Sometimes it all gets a little too much."

He felt George take a deep breath as he continued.

"But you gotta realise that soon the fog will clear up.
And you don't have to be afraid, because we're all the same. And we know that,"

He kept his voice soft and calming the whole time as he sang. But especially in the last line which he nearly whispered.

"Sometimes it all gets a little too much."

Reece continued running his fingers through George's soft hair for a few minutes until George slowly pulled away, his eyes slightly red and puffy from crying.

"Everything's gonna be okay, I promise. I'm not gonna leave your side." Reece spoke softly, looking into the other blondes eyes.

"Thank you." George whispered back.

Reece helped the younger boy off the ground and looked at him basically asking if he was ready to go out. George nodded and stayed holding onto Reece's hand as they headed for the door.

"Wait Reece, one last thing." George said, stopping in his tracks.

Reece hummed in response as he turned to face George. A second later, Reece felt George's hand on his neck as he stood on his tippy toes, leaning in towards Reece's lips. Once Reece realised what was happening, he too lent in and soon enough they pressed their lips ever so softly together. Reece moved his hand to rest on George's cheek as the soft and sweet kiss continued. Their lips were moving perfectly against each other. This was definitely the most passionate, soft, and meaningful kiss they've shared. They both felt that.

"Reece?" He asked the boy in front of him once they parted, keeping close.

"Mhm?"

"Will you uh... Will you be my boyfriend?" George asked cautiously, scared of scaring off the best thing he had in his life at the moment.

"There's nothing I want more." Reece smiled softly.

George felt a weight being lifted off his chest as Reece lent in for one last kiss.

"Come on beautiful, we don't wanna miss our flight."

George's heart fluttered as Reece called him beautiful.

The two boys linked their hands once again and headed out the door, meeting with Blake and going through customs. George was still a little tense but he knew he'd be okay because Reece was by his side. Blake too. And Reece kept his promise, not once did he leave George's side. He held his hand when he needed, he spoke softly when George started getting shaky again and he even kissed him on the cheek to calm him down. Their first real public display of affection. George adored that. They made their way into the plane and took their seats, Reece and George next to each other of course. They put on a movie to keep them occupied but George was completely exhausted after his mental breakdown earlier and rested his head on Reece's shoulder, closing his eyes. Reece looked down at the boy a little shocked at first but then relaxed into it, wrapping an arm around him and resting his head on top of George's. Soon, the two of them drifted off to sleep and Blake was snapping pictures of them because how could he not? They were too pure, too sweet... Too blind to see they're not just falling, they're already so, so in love.
