When class was over for the day Ming went to pick up Kit as usual. This time, however, Kaden was with Ming. Kit wasn't too happy about it but when Ming explained that he was only here so he could report what he saw to the police Kit calmed down about the matter. It wasn't long before they arrived at the police station, and within minutes they were seating in a small room with officer Jones. They updated the officer on the latest package to arrive and even provide a witness. Officer Jones was surprised that someone saw the stranger who left the package this morning but didn't look too much into it. Even the best crooks can make mistakes, no one's perfect. Kaden spent half an hour giving his description of this mornings events as best he could. He explained why he was there and what exactly he saw. The officer asked if Kaden could give a description of the guy to the sketch artist but sadly Kaden didn't see the mans face.
It was an hour before they were finally able to leave the station. Ming and Kit dropped Kaden off back at his campus, so he could pick up his car, then headed back to their shared dorm room. Kit was too warn out from everything that has been happening. He didn't feel like going out to dinner so Ming had ordered some delivery to their room. While they waited for the food to arrive Ming started working on some of his assignments while Kit was having difficulty focusing on his work. Even though the stalker had been seen by someone it didn't bring his hopes up of that guy ever being caught. 15 minutes after just staring at a random page in his book Kit gave up. He put his books away and cuddled up to Ming, wrapping one of Ming's arms around him tightly. Being in Ming's arms was the only place he felt safe at the moment. Ming, sensing something was bothering Kit, placed his work next to him and held onto Kit tight, not once letting go.
Soon enough the tears began to fall from Kit's eyes. All the pent up emotions he had been hiding away just flew out of him like a river flowing to the sea. Ming didn't say anything but let Kit cry out his emotions. He won't force Kit to talk about it if he doesn't want to. It wasn't long before dinner had arrived. Ming reluctantly let go of Kit and went to answer the door. He brought the food to the table and began to prepare it only to realise it wasn't what he had ordered. He ran out of his room in hopes to catch the delivery guy but it was almost like he vanished without a trace. Ming then called up the restaurant he had ordered from, only to find out that business had no record of Ming ever ordering from them tonight. Kit was starting to wonder what was taking Ming so long so he hopped off the bed and headed out of the bedroom. He saw Ming with a worried look upon his face.
"What is it Ming?" Kit asked as he wiped the remaining tears off his face. Ming took one look at Kit and sighed "The delivery guy gave us the wrong food. When I tried to catch him it was like he was never here. So I called the restaurant but they have no record of our order." Kit was shocked when he heard Ming, fearing this was all part of the crazed stalkers plan. What he was trying to achieve was beyond him. "Maybe we should go out for dinner. I know you wanted to stay in Kit but I just don't trust this food." Kit glanced at the table covered in food, mouth watering. Somehow this guy had managed to get all of Kit's favourite dishes. "This guy just won't give up will he?" Kit said in a defeated tone. He then took the delicious food on the table and threw it all in the trash before grabbing his phone, keys and wallet. "Let's go Ming I'm starving" Kit spoke as he headed towards the door.
Ming didn't need to be told twice and after collecting everything he needed he headed out the door, making sure to lock it before following after Kit. They ended up going to a near by food stall within walking distance from the dormitory. The food there was nice and they ended up staying for just under an hour before heading back to their room. When opening the door both Ming and Kit were shocked to find the whole place covered in tulip petals, Kit's favourite flower. Was this the psycho's plan all along Ming thought to himself. Was the food delivery just a ploy to get them out of the room so he could break in and do this? Kit had begun to shake uncontrollably. Now even this home wasn't safe anymore. Yes, the stalker always knew where Kit was but this was the first time he had entered the room, or at least to their knowledge.
Ming went to hold Kit close while stroking his back, trying to calm him down. When Kit had eventually stopped moving and relaxed a little Ming spoke "Pack a small amount of clothes, any study material you need and anything else you think is important." Kit wanted to ask why he had to pack suddenly but Ming beat him to it "It's not safe to stay here Kit. Who's to say he won't try to get in while we're asleep, and if he does, who knows what he could do." "I don't think anywhere's safe from this guy" Kit responds but begins to grab all the things he needed. "Maybe so but at least if we stay in a hotel there is less of a chance for him to break into our room. We can figure out the next step tomorrow" Ming answers back, a little worried because Kit is right. This guy seems to know their every move and he doesn't think anywhere is safe enough but he isn't giving up without a fight. Hopefully the police will get a lead soon and this will all be over. One can dream right, Ming said to himself.
