Ming was absolutely furious when they had arrived at the late Joshua's small little house in the middle of no where. Apart from finding a dead Joshua there was no sign of his Kitten. All evidence of Kit ever being here seemed to have disappeared. If it wasn't for Forth and Pha holding him back Ming would of torn that place to pieces. How could Kit have vanished, they must be missing a crucial part of the puzzle officer Jones thought to himself. The officers spent a few hours combing the place, in hopes of finding anything that could lead to Kit's current whereabouts. Ming was so distraught that he couldn't stop himself from crying. It had been a little over 2 weeks since Kit was reported missing and just when they thought they had caught a break it seemed to just be another dead end. The hope of bringing Kit back alive was slowly dying but no one ever mentioned that to Ming for fear of suffering his wrath.

Losing Kit like this was tearing Ming up on the inside. He was constantly on edge and even the littlest things could set him off on a rampage. No one dared messed with him, not at this time. As the officers finished scouring the premises they were packing it all up and about to head back to the station. It wasn't until one of the young officers noticed a white piece of paper hanging in a nearby tree that caught his attention. The young man wouldn't of taken any notice of it if it wasn't for the way it hung off a small branch. He quickly grabbed the piece of paper only to notice there was something written on it. Upon inspection he then rushed over to the officer in charge and handed it to him "Look sir, I found this hanging in a tree over there" the young bloke said pointing to the tree. The officer took the small piece of paper from the young man's hands and read it "The object is closer than they appear" with Kit's signature at the bottom. There was no doubt this was a coded message to inform anyone who happened upon it that the game was far from over.

When Ming and the others were shown the coded message they had no idea what Kit was on about. Ming was just happy to know that Kit was still alive, for how much longer he had no idea. The preliminary coroner's report showed that Joshua had only been dead 2-3 days, so who ever took Kit and killed Joshua hasn't had him very long. For the first time throughout this investigation the officers were finally getting somewhere. It wouldn't be long till they finally catch the culprit and lock them behind bars. Despite this small clue that was left behind Ming and the others weren't holding onto much hope of Kit ever being found, mostly due to the fact Kit's bizarre message made absolutely no sense to any of them. What could Kit have possible meant when he said "The object is closer than they appear"? Clearly by using the word "they" Kit was talking about a person, but who? Ming didn't know anyone who was lusting after his Kitten. Once their relationship was made public any of Kit's previous admires backed off, not wanting to face the hurricane that was Ming's possessiveness.

Despite this new clue the officers weren't any closer to finding Kit. What they thought was another break in the case seemed to just lead them no where. No one could figure out Kit's cryptic message, it didn't seem to make any sense. Weeks flew by and Kit was still in the hands of his latest abductor, hoping and praying that he will be found soon and be able to go home to his precious Ming.

One day while officer Jones was going over some of the old case files, back when Kit and Ming were receiving anonymous packages he remembered something. This Joshua character was so well meticulous with everything. Not once was he ever spotted on a surveillance camera or seen by any people passing by. So how was it that one morning, outside of Ming and Kit's dorm room someone was able to spot him. Joshua wasn't the type to have witnesses around so why was there one that day. Curiosity got the better of him and he asked Ming, as well as Forth, Beam, Pha and Yo, to come into the station. Luckily it was a Saturday so none of them had any classes. They arrived at the station around 11:30am and headed straight for officer Jones' room.  Upon entering they could see the piles and piles of files stacked neatly on his desk.

"You wanted to see us?" Forth spoke in a soft, calming manner. Out of the 5 of them, Forth was handling this the best since he wasn't as close to Kit as the others. He understood Ming's pain, if this had happened to his Beam he would be an emotional wreck, but he was able to keep himself from losing it during all this. Officer Jones lifted his head up and welcomed the 5 men into his office. "Yes. I just had a question I needed to ask. How well do you guys know Kaden Smith?" he asked, looking at the 5 boys standing in front of him. Pha was the first to speak "He's a distant friend of ours. We never hung out much but he was around from time to time" he said calmly. The others all nodded their heads in agreement. "What's this got to do with him?" Ming said out loud, wondering why Kaden was being dragged into this mess. After all Kaden has only ever tried being helpful. If it wasn't for him they would still be a square one Ming thought to himself.

"Well I did some digging into this Kaden fellow" officer Jones stated. "I was wondering why after everything Josh did Kaden was the only one to ever see him. Josh was even able to sneak up to your house unnoticed Ming, that had armed guards and security cameras, yet was spotted early one morning by this fellow. Something didn't add up." Officer Jones paused for a few moments before continuing, the others just stood there in silence, "I looked into Kaden Smith's record only to discover that he doesn't exist, not unless he's a 81 year old man living in a nursing home." Upon hearing this news the others were all shell shocked. So who was this man this man and what did he have to do with all of this. "So who is he really?" Ming stuttered out. scared that this guy was involved in Kit's kidnapping. "From what we've gathered his name is Samuel Kale, 22 year old, orphan. His parents died when he was 13, leaving him with quite a lot of money. During the next few years Samuel was linked with a few mafia crews but nothing was ever confirmed."

"When looking up this Samuel guy we found he owned a fairly large house about 4 hours away from where Kit was originally held. We don't know if he's the one who has taken Kit but we aren't ruling anything out." When hearing the news that their friend Kaden was in fact someone else entirely he was furious. How could he of let someone like that get so close to his beloved. It all made sense now, everything seemed to fall into place. I'm coming for you Kaden, no one takes my baby and gets away with it he said to himself.
