Kit flinched when he heard the gun shot, completely unaware as to what was happening. He prayed that Kaden didn't shot Joshua. Despite his hatred for the man Kit didn't believe he deserved to die. He deserved to spend his life behind bars for what he had done. It was a short while before Kaden exited the small house and Kit was just as scared now as he was in the hands of Joshua. He was glad to be out of that hell hole but what frightened him the most was the fact Kaden had appeared at all. Why weren't the police or even his friends here? It's not like Kaden could say he was just passing by, this house was miles from anywhere.
While Kaden was still inside the house Kit had found a scrap of paper and a pen and decided to leave behind a note. He still didn't trust Kaden and in case the worst was to happen at least he left behind a clue as to who had taken him. Kit made sure to mark it in a way that if Ming or one of his friends were to ever discover it they would know who it was from in an instant. He only hoped that it wouldn't have to come to that, that Kaden was really just trying to help him here.
Before long Kaden had reappeared beside Kit and was just getting in the car. He could see Kit was very shaken up about everything and wanted to comfort him. Kit winced at the small touch from Kaden and immediately pulled away. The tears began to fall down Kit's face as he thought of Ming and the others and he just wanted to go home. He had no idea Kaden wasn't the saviour he thought he was. If he thought Joshua was an evil character then Kaden was 10 times worse, he just didn't know it yet.
Kaden soon started the car off and began to drive away from the house. They had driven for 10 minutes before Kit softly stuttered "Where are we going?" Kaden had expected this at some point and was ready to respond "I'm taking you to see Ming and the others." he said confidently, trying not to give anything away. Kit was surprised at his answer but what still worried him was how on earth Kaden had found him so he spoke again, this time a little louder. "How is it that you were able to find me. I was out in the middle of nowhere and barely a person drove by, so how come you stumbled onto this place?" Kit questioned. Kaden was ready and waiting for this question and he began to speak "Well a week after you had gone missing the police caught a break. They were finally able to find out who had taken you but they still didn't know where." Kit was shocked, this Joshua guy was very clever that he doubted any clues would of been left behind. "How did this break occur?" Kit again questioned.
"Well one morning there was a box outside the police department" Kaden said, spinning his web of lies, "and inside the box was everything about this guy. There was even pictures of him with a life size doll of you naked while he was doing unimaginable things to the doll. All the evidence pointed to this guy but we still had no idea where he had taken you." Upon hearing this Kit couldn't help but feel uneasy. It seemed like Kaden was only saying what Kit needed to hear in order to trust him. Something about all this just didn't add up and Kit wouldn't rest until he figures it out. "So how did you end up at the house?" Kit said, acting as if he believed Kaden's lies. "Well they found a few isolated properties under his name and figured you at to be at one of them" Kaden continued. "They sent a search team to each location and because they didn't have enough police men I volunteered to check out this place. I knew you were inside when I saw your car parked outside so I silently entered the building and upon hearing your cries knew exactly where to find you."
Kit knew the police force wouldn't let Kaden go to a possible crime scene alone, or even at all, but he was scared of what he might do if he angered him. Kaden had shot and possibly killed Joshua so who knows what he is capable of. "I heard a gun shot, so did you kill Joshua?" Kit asked with a little worry. Kaden quickly saw Kit's look and knew he was scared "Of course not. I just gave a warning shot so he wouldn't come after you again. I then texted the police and they should be on their way to pick him up." Kit could see on Kaden's face that he was lying. To most people they would easily fall for his lies but Kit knew better. Kaden's eyes told a much darker tale and Kit didn't feel safe in his presence.
They continued to drive for another hour or so until Kaden pulled up into an abandoned house. The house looked old and worn down on the outside but once you stepped inside it was like a mini palace, everything was so shiny and new. Kit wondered what on earth they were doing here and Kaden, sensing Kit's query spoke up "I sent a message to the others before I left the others house and they said they would met us here." "Why not take me back home?" Kit wondered. None of this made any sense and the uneasy feeling was getting worse every minute he was alone with Kaden. "They weren't sure if Joshua had any accomplices helping him, so until they interrogate him and learn why he did all this and what his intentions were they thought it was safer if you stayed in an unknown location for now."
Sensing Kit's uneasiness Kaden escorted Kit to the kitchen and grabbed him something to eat. Kit was hesitant to take the food, scared that Kaden had laced it with some kind of sleeping drug but when Kaden took a bite he deemed it safe. He should of been more careful. When Kaden offered Kit a bottle of water he took it without question and took a huge gulp. It wasn't long before he was knocked out cold from the sleeping medication added to the liquid. He was then carried to the upstairs bedroom where he was unfortunately locked in the room. Just when Kit had the tiniest hope of being rescued, and finally seeing his Ming again, he gets dragged into another lions den. This one, way worse than anything Joshua had planned.
