Nothing Will Break Us

The Night Before

It's been 2 weeks since officer Jones dropped by and no one has brought up the idea of Kit facing Samuel after everything that has happened. They all understood the reasoning behind it and respected both Ming and Kit's wishes. Kit knew he may have to face Samuel again if this case goes to trial but for now he was just happy to be with Ming once again. 

During this time Kit was completely unaware of what was going on behind the scenes. Once Kit was back in the safety of his arms Ming had decided he didn't want to wait any longer and decided to marry Kit as soon as possible. During the 2 weeks Ming, with the help of his friends and family, organised a simple backyard wedding at his parents place. They had a lovely garden that would be perfect for the occasion and there was enough open space for a small yet elegant reception. 

While Ming was busy preparing the surprise wedding Kit was busy talking with the university. Due to the amount of time Kit had missed with his classes it was recommended that he taken an extra semester so he won't have such a hectic work load, trying to complete weeks worth of assignments and projects in only 3 weeks. Even though Kit wasn't fond of the idea, wanting to graduate with his 2 best friends, he understood that this was the best course of action. Once everything with the dean was sorted Kit received a message from Beam to meet him at his house. 

Unbeknown to Kit it was the day before his wedding. Ming had wanted to surprise his loving fiance and made sure the wedding was everything Kit had ever dreamed of. He made sure that everything was perfect from the flowers to the decorations and even the food. Kit would surely love this and it's just another small way to show Kit that Ming really does love him, not that Kit needed any more proof after the incident with Samuel and Joshua. 

Since it was the night before Ming and Kit's big day it was Beam and Pha's mission to make sure Kit doesn't go anywhere near Ming's parents place. They had even decided, much to Ming's displeasure, that Kit stay with one of them for the night, either with Beam and Forth or Pha and Yo. Although Ming wanted to be with Kit he couldn't risk him finding out about the surprise so reluctantly agreed to hand over Kit for the night. 

Pha had wanted to have a small bachelor party for Kit with a lot of drinks involved but Beam quickly shut the idea down. Worried that in their drunken state they may accidentally reveal to Kit about the wedding or worse get into some kind of accident. Either way Ming would be furious with the two so they settled to have a movie night at Beam's place. When Kit did arrive at Beam's place at 3 in the afternoon he didn't fail to notice the strange behaviour of his 2 best friends. He couldn't quite put his finger on it but he knew something was up with these two and he wouldn't rest till he got to the bottom of it.

It was now 8pm and the boys had just finished the 2nd mission impossible movie while enjoy some large pizzas. It has been forever since the three of them could hang out like this, all thanks to their boyfriends. Not that they were complaining mind you but it was nice to just chill out with your friends and relax, especially after everything that happened recently. They promised each other that no matter what happened they would still make time for one another. As the night wore on and it was getting pretty late, it was almost midnight by the time they were finished, Pha had decided to head back to his place where Yo was waiting for him. After Kit was taken Pha had decided to get a place for him and Yo, not wanting to be apart from his loved one for too long. Forth had arrived back home about 9pm, after going out with some of his university mates. and went straight to their room not wanting to spoil Beam and his friends night. 

Kit was so tired that he could barely keep his eyes open and was about to call Ming to pick him up when Beam had suggested he stay the night. It had been years since they last had a sleep over and although Kit really wanted to see Ming he couldn't deny his best friend. So after taking a quick shower and brushing his teeth Kit headed to the spare room and laid himself in the bed. He was very tired but that didn't stop him texting Ming a sweet goodnight and explaining why he wasn't coming home. When reading the text Ming smiled sweetly. He knew full well Kit was going to be staying at Beam's place tonight but it was nice to know that Kit was safe and was thinking of him. Ming sent a quickly reply, stating that he hopes Kit gets a good night sleep.

No matter how hard he tried Kit just couldn't get to sleep. Ever since Kit was rescued from Samuel he found it increasing difficult to sleep anywhere without Ming right by his side. It was already passed 1am but despite his tiredness Kit remained wide awake. He decided to give Ming a quick call. He hoped Ming had just as much trouble sleeping as he himself did. The phone only rang 3 times before Ming had picked up the call. Like Kit he couldn't sleep either but it was due to his excitement. If it all goes well soon Kit will become his wedded husband. Just because Kit was the bottom did not make him any less of a man Ming thought and he would never call Kit his wife.

"Hey Kit. Having trouble sleeping?" Ming asked, knowing full well that was the reason Kit had called in the first place. "Yes. I'm tired but I can't sleep. It's so weird not having you right next to me, holding me tightly" Kit stated. Kit had grown a lot since the beginning of their relationship. He wasn't afraid to show his love for Ming anymore and would openly admit when he missed or needed Ming. It just made Ming love Kit even more as time went on. "I couldn't sleep either darling. Why don't we just talk for awhile and maybe we'll both nod off soon" Ming suggested. They then spent the next hour chatting about so many different things that before you know it they had both fallen asleep in the middle of the call.
