Rolling out of bed at 10:00 feels really good after not being able sleep well the past couple nights. When nurses would come in to check on me at the hospital and ask how I was, I would lie and say I was fine. The thing was, I couldn’t sleep longer that 2-4 hours without having nightmares. They would be about my dad and the incident with Brad. Each dream was different, but I would wake up in the middle of the night, sometimes screaming, and full of sweat. When the nurses came in, I just told them I was too hot or a bad dream. I never told them what was really going on. I guess my spike in blood pressure caused the alarm. And my screaming. I was glad I finally was able to sleep without the effects of medicine. That stuff made weird things happen to me. The lack of sleep and the medicine caused me to hallucinate, but I stopped taking it really quickly once I got home. All I needed was to start hearing things.

I found my phone on my dresser and I saw that Chris had texted me.

Hey I just realized that I forgot to get my jacket back from you could I pick it up sometime tw?

He must of texted me last night, but I never read it. I didn’t know how to reply back after what occurred. I feel asleep fantasizing what it meant. Hopefully it means well.

Sure anytime after 12.

I got out of bed and changed my clothes. I threw on a pair of sweats and a warm hoodie. It may only be the beginning of September, but it’s a bit chilly this morning. I was about to go downstairs when my phone went off. It was from Chris again.

There is a game on. Maybe I could pick it up later?

I replied back,

You could just watch the game here and go back at halftime if you want. I went in the bathroom to fix my hair. It was a mess from last night but I didn’t care. I brushed it and let it hang down. He texted me back.

As long as its ok with ur mom then ill come over in a couple mins instead.

I went downstairs and called my mom to ask if it was ok for him to come over.

“Hey Mom, Chris needs to pick something up from me. Can he come over?” I asked

“Sure hon,” she said.

“Thanks!” I say.

“No problem.”

I text him back.

You can come on over. Cool with my mom.

I went to the living room. I decided to search the game for him so in case he ended up staying for it, I could have the channel ready for him.

He texted me back just as I found the channel.

I’ll leave soon. Can’t wait to see you :)

I was hoping this was a good thing. I mean he’s excited right?

I was starting on Math homework when Drew came down the stairs.

“Chris is coming over. He left his jacket with me last night,” I said.

“Oh, ok,” he said.

“He might watch the game with us,” I said.

“PSU?”

“I think so.”

“Is it ok if I watch it with ya?”

“Fine by me. I’m sure Chris will be cool with it too.”

My geometry homework didn’t make any sense since I didn’t learn it. I’ll ask Chris when he gets here, maybe he could teach me if he know it.
