The Flirt and the Loner | Lance X Reader | (High school AU)

Day 1; Meeting a trio

Y/N's P.O.V (Point of View)

    Shiro drove us to school in his black truck, it was mainly a silent ride, but once we got near the school Shiro spoke up.
"You two need to behave this year, I don't want to have to skip class or work for any of you acting up." He says, starting his annual first-day-of-school-rule speech. I tuned him out for most of it, only nodding when I thought it was necessary. We finally were able to leave after what felt like hours. Keith and I quickly said our goodbyes and headed to the front doors.

    I took my phone from my back pocket to check the time, "About twenty minutes 'till school starts," I mumble, clearing out my useless notifications. I had a hand on Keiths shoulder so I wouldn't get lost, however, I didnt notice when he stopped. He was staring with a small smirk as I kept walking forward. I soon bumped into a tall figure, as we both fell down.

3rd person P.O.V

   The tall figure groaned while looking up, seeing who had bumped into him. He was thinking it was another one of his friends who liked to prank him, however that wasn't the case. When he looked up his ocean blue eyes met with a pair of (e/c) ones, the connection ran short because the owner of the beautiful (e/c) orbs' brother had come in to quickly sweep her away. The tall teen gathered his thoughts before seeing who took her away. He ruffled his brown hair, trying to fix it, got up and straightened his appearance, before spotting the two who just left. His eyes widened when he saw who it was that took the beautiful girl away from him.
"-ance?? Lance!! LANCE!!!" The short brunette yelled from behind the said ocean blue eyed teen to get his attention. However he had ignored them, saying "Oh no, there's no way she's dating him! That guy is always trying to one up me!" The third chubby teen asked, "Who is it?" although he already knows who it is.
"Keith!" Lance replies simply, storming over to the pair. "Who?" The short one asked. "Of course it is.." the chubby one replied, following the tall teen. "Who's 'Keith'???" The angry smol asked, following the two.
  Before Lance had the chance to confront Keith and (Y/N), the bell wrung, signaling the beginning of the day.

    In (Y/n)'s opinion, first period SUCKED. Her first period just so happened to be P.E., which was worse because she saw Lance walking to the same class, except this time he was alone.

She got into the gym, ready for the torture to start. (Y/N) had experience being alone, so she simply sat as far away from everyone and opened her personal sketchbook to draw as she waited for the coach to begin the class. Her personal bubble was burst when she saw a familiar Cuban boy sit next to her and throw an arm over her shoulder,  causing her to shut her sketch book
"Hello~" He purred into her ear.  (Y/N) growled, throwing his arm off of herself, getting up and walking to another spot. The Cuban pouted, also getting up to follow the beautiful (h/c) female.
This continued on for thirty minutes, a constant state of walking back and forward, until (Y/N) got tired and asked if she could go to the restroom.
Lance stopped trying to follow her after that. By the end of the period, Lance tried to talk to her one more time, this time he was successful.
  "Okay, okay, fine. What did you want??" (Y/N) snapped.
"Look, I'm sorry for flirting with you,  I understand you have a boyfriend-"
"I don't have a boyfriend" She cut him off and walked off faster, eager to be with her brother again.

Second period was Math with Mr. Holt, and with Keith. (Y/N) turned the corner to see her brother standing by the lockers, she exhaled a sigh of relief to be back with someone she was comfortable with. They walked together to their next class.

So yeah,  this one's short but I did it during school so why not? Next chapter will be hopefully 1000 words,  I just didn't want to do so much in the official first chapter so- I hope you enjoyed! I'll start working on the next chapter later, it's currently almost the end of 2nd period for me lmao. Alright- well until next time-
