Katniss' POV

They fell for it. God, this is hilarious. They thought Annie really drowned. It took everything I had not to laugh. Finnick is freaking out. Marvel thinks that the cops will come after them because they locked us outside. Cato just stands there in shock.

When Finnick brings his mouth to Annie's to give her air, Annie just kisses him.mot lasts a few seconds and then us girls get up and run to the door. But it won't open. Is it locked?

"Finnick?" I ask since we're still at his house.

"Katniss, you do it like this," he says pulling on the glass door. Nothing happens.

"Dude, you locked us out!" Marvel yells.

"Guys, the fence," Finnick says calmly as he climbs on a table and hops over the fence. We all follow. After the fence, we just walk along the side of the house until we get to the front door, which just happens to be locked too. Of course.

It's about 2am so we all just sit down in the front yard, not in plain sight, behind the bush garden.

"Nice sleepover, eh?" Someone asks me.

"The best!" I say sarcastically

He laughs. "It's Finnick's right?!"

"Yeah, I guess." I say. "How do you deal with it, Peeta?"

"What, being Finnick's friend?" I laugh and shake my head.

"No, the girls, at school." I answer.

"Well, I usually just try to block them out, I hate being rude to people, but I try to ignore them," he says frowning.

"It just seems so hard, you know, they are everywhere trying to get you to go out with them, I mean, I would probably just explode at one point," I say.

"I know, you probably would, but I do let it out. Usually with Finnick. He let's it out too, even though he's dating, there's a few desperate girls, don't tell him I told you," he whispers. I smile and nod.

We just talk about random things until Annie whispers something in my ear about a spare key Finnick gave her...

Annie unlocks the door and let's the girls in before locking it again.

"Guys, Finnick's water balloon collection!" Delly says. We run upstairs and fill up the water balloons in the bathroom. We then run to the guest room which over looks the front door with the water balloons.

"1,2,3," Madge counts as we drop them and the boys scream.

We laugh and drop some more. Peeta and Cato get out of the way while Marvel and Finnick sit there screaming. We all laugh and when we use the rest of the balloons, they are soaked. We then just sit back and try to sleep. We try. Well, apparently the boys found some water guns in the back yard. We should've closed the window after our attack.

So, us girls run outside after filling up more balloons and have a water battle against the boys. The girls totally won. Well, the boys claim they let us win, but we all know that's not true. After that we just went inside because we hadn't slept at all. And the sun was peeking over the horizon.

<--------------------<<<

"Prim!" I yell when I open the door. She comes running up to me. She envelopes me in a hug and I can barely breathe. When she pulls away, I realize that she's crying.

"Primmy, what's wrong?" I ask. She looks at me and then pulls me into her room. I look around. Did she lose her makeup or something? Then, when she points to her cat, Buttercup's, bed. It all falls together. He isn't breathing. Prim has had Buttercup since she was four, now she's twelve.

"I think he got sick or something, he wasn't doing very well," she manages to choke out before disappearing into another puddle of tears.

"Prim, I'm so sorry," I say realizing it wasn't just the cat that mattered. It was a gift that our dad gave to her. Our real dad. That's when I realize how much I love Buttercup. So I start crying. It's pretty rare to see me cry. I mean, I cry about Gale, and my dad but I usually stay strong. Then I remember something my dad used to say:

"Crying isn't a sign of weakness, it just means you've held it all in for too long."

Prim and I sit on her bed. When we hear the door open, we run downstairs. I try and wipe the tears off my face, I get most of them but my eyes are still glassy. Plutarch looks at us. He looks shocked to see Prim crying, and even more shocked when he looks at me. Prim runs into his arms and she tells him about Buttercup. He looks pretty sad. He really liked Buttercup for some reason.

"We should bury him," Prim suggests.

"Sure," I say, I just want her to be happy. She goes and gets a shoe box from her room, the shoe box to her favorite shoes. He must mean a lot to her. She wraps him up in a blanket as I dig a hole. She lays the box in the hole and says something to him that I can't make out.

It turns out we are having a mini funeral when Mom gets home.

So, when she gets home, Prim tells her what happened and she tears up and follows us into the backyard. Then, she starts. She just says a whole lot of things about how important he was to her. Then, she tells us to say anything we have to say to him before we bury him. I get up and walk to the box. I feel I should do this. For Prim. I take a deep breath.

"You know, I've always loved you. I just didn't know that until now. Even though I may have had a hard time showing it, I did love you," I say quietly.

I've decided that funerals are not for the dead, but for the living.

I just hope Prim feels a little better now. Of course though, she wants a new cat. So I've decided to buy her one for Christmas. Not one that looks like Buttercup though. I want her to move on. I'm sure Buttercup wouldn't want her lingering over his death forever.

Okay, I almost cried writing that chapter. I know it may sound silly, but I didn't want Buttercup to die. Just a short twist for now. I will try and make another Hunger Games Trivia if you want... Soon. Umm, just vote, comment, share. Anything helps! Thank you!
