Peeta's POV
Katniss did a wonderful job during the play. She's a beautiful singer and she doesn't even know it. She has no idea how talented she is. I was originally signed up for the play, by Finnick, but I found out in time and resigned, if that's what you would say.
I grip the bouquet of Primroses in my hand waiting for her to come around. She's changed out of her costume into a pair of skinny jeans, a white v-neck, and a pair of light-blue Converse.
"Great job, I almost forgot how good you were," I say handing her the roses. She blushes and accepts the flowers.
"Thank you," she says, hugging me. I hug her back and bury my face in her hair. She pulls away and smiles. I stare into her deep gray eyes. Only to be interrupted by Finnick. Again.
"Hey lovebirds!" He exclaims in a girly voice.
"Finnick, for the last time, we're not lovebirds, we're super-mega-awesomest-second-best-friends!" I say in my most annoyed tone and Katniss giggles. I'm so proud that I can make her giggle... Wait! Katniss rarely giggles. I shouldn't get my hopes up about her liking me though. But I should just be proud that I can make her giggle. I wish she liked me back though. I highly doubt it.
But I can always hope.
Sorry, that was just a teaser chapter. And I don't have anything else to say... Thank you for reading!!!
