Clove's POV

One month later...

It's already the end of September. And I just can't believe Cato Swordsman actually asked me out on a date! He actually asked me out on a date! He asked me out on a date!!! Usually, I'm not a big one for drama and boys but this is awesome. He's picking me up at 7:00pm and that's two hours away. I can't wait two hours! Glimmer's coming over to help me get ready in a few minutes.

When she finally arrives, she has two whole bags full of makeup. Oh God! I let her in and we head up to my room. I show her the dress I have picked out and she gasps.

"OMG! He's going to love that!" She squeals.

It's a bright red, dress that ends about mid thigh. However, it puffs out at the waist and there is a black bow, the color of my hair, that separates the puffy part and the regular part. I personally love this dress. Glimmer does my makeup and she puts my hair in a bun with a braid around in and right when she finishes, Cato rings the doorbell, one minute early. I take a deep breath and I walk downstairs. He stands there wearing a nice shirt, the same color as my dress and black dress pants. He also has a bouquet of roses for me. I can't believe it!!! He takes my hand and leads me to his black sports car. He opens the door for me and I thank him as I get in.

He drives for a few minutes until we reach a very fancy restaurant. As we're walking in the police block our way.

"I'm sorry, sir, this is a crime scene. You may not go further than this point," he tells Cato. He frowns and takes my hand. We walk back to the car. That was strange...

"That's a bummer. I was really looking forward to this," he says.

"Me too," I sigh.

"Hey, do you want to go see a movie, we can go to that restaurant another time?" He asks and it's clear how nervous he is.

"That sounds great, and you don't have to be nervous, I like you," I say leaning over and kissing him on the cheek. He blushes.

"Anything you want to see?" He asks.

"Umm. Well, there's this book I read called The Fault in Our Stars. The movie's out."

"Sounds great!" He says checking the times for the movie. "Starts in twenty minutes," he says taking off.

"So, what's it about," he asks still looking ahead at the road.

"Well, this girl named Hazel has cancer, and she meets this boy named Augustus, and he had cancer, he doesn't have it anymore. And they start out as friends and all, and it's pretty romantic," I say, I kinda failed at describing it. I stink when it comes to descriptions.

"Okay," he says.

"NO!!!" I scream. "Don't say that unless you want me to start crying!"

"Oka- I'm sorry," he says confused.

We saw the movie and I cried so hard. My makeup was all over my face. Cato even cried. But he made me swear not to tell anyone. It was really good though. It's kind of scary though, what cancer can do to you. I'm just glad I don't know anyone who has it. It'd be pretty scary.

He finally pulls up in front of my house and I give a sad sigh.

"Thank you... For tonight. I had a lot of fun," I say.

"Me too," he says walking me to the front door.

I open the door and turn back to him when he plants a soft kiss on my lips. I smile.

"Night Clover," he says grinning.

"Goodnight Cato I say giving him a hug and running upstairs to my room. He kissed me!!! I have to tell Glimmer.

Me: Glim, u have to guess wht happened!

Glimxoxo✨ : OMG! Did u kiss?!!!

Me: Yep! He kissed me!!!

Glimxoxo✨ : That's amazing!!! Talk about it at school tomorrow?!

Me: Sure. Ttyl!

I put my iPhone on my bedside table and change into a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and hop into bed. I can't wait for school tomorrow. I can't wait to see Cato!!!

Yay, I saw the Fault in Our Stars for the second time the other day and I'm obsessed. Everyone was crying though. I hoped you liked this chapter, it was pretty short but it was just their date so yeah. Thank you for reading!!!!
