(Erin's POV begins)

"You have to do what exactly?" Nicki
asks in a confused tone.

"I have to go back to Zenith for a day." I say as I pack up my napsnack. "I'll be back by the time dinner is over."

"Oh okay." Nicki says. "Hopefully things go well for you. It must be cool to get to see your family again."

"It is cool, but sometimes I get a little scared visiting them."

"How so?"

"Well for starters, I look nothing like my mom. My sister is the one who resembles her by appearance. She says she will always love me no matter what my surface data looks like, but sometimes I feel as if that isn't true."

"Aww, Erin, you know Tecna will always love you. Don't ever think she won't."

"Thanks Nicki. Another reason why I'm kinda scared to visit home is because of my older sister. Ever since I was 10, she's always been angry at me for reasons I don't know, and it makes me angry at times. I mean, she's being so irrational and so negative."

"Do you think it's because you have all these cool powers and she doesn't?"

"I'm starting to think that's what it is. But that's irrational too. It's not my fault that I was chosen to be our mom's successor, and to be the Guardian of the Eternal Flame."

"Wow. I agree with you on that one. Life just paves it's way for us, and sometimes we have no idea what's gonna happen."

Then she begins to ask me more questions about my sister.

"How old is she?"

"She's 21."

"Does she go to school?"

"She used to go to here to Alfea, but then she switched schools after her second year, and went to a different college for fairies."

"How come she switched? Alfea is the best school for fairies in all of Magix!"

"I know! She quote on quote said that 'Alfea wasn't as great as mom and I made it out to be', and she wanted to switch schools."

"Wow. That's a shame. I mean, I've only been here for about a couple of days now, and I've probably learned more about magic and spells than in any other school."

"I know. And now that I think about it, she's kinda the reason why I don't like visiting so much."

My cell phone rings, and you can guess who's calling me.

I answer, and up comes Numera on the screen.

"I'm here." she says flatly. "Are you ready?"

"Yes, I am." I say.

"Good. Meet me downstairs, outside, in approximately 1.24 minutes."

Then she hangs up.

"Have a good time!" Nicki says to me as I grab my stuff and walk out the door.

"I'll try!" I say as I walk out the door, and close it behind me.

As soon as I'm outside, I see Numera and walk over to her. She's doing something on her phone, probably texting one of her friends I bet.

Once I reach her, I guess she doesn't see me, which is irrational, because who can't see that a shadow is towering over them?

I begin to get impatient to the point where I'm about to grab her phone out of her hand, and break it into pieces.

I yank her phone out of her hand.

"Hey!" she yells.

"Can you not see that I'm just standing here waiting for you? And if you did, could you at least say, 'Hi!' or 'Hey sis, I haven't seen you in a while, how's life been?" I say angrily.
