**Previously**

"I was her fuckwad," I commented taking a sip of the milk Noah bought me.

"Yeah, you were such an ass," Skylar remarked, and I gave her a playful glare. Of course, she gave me a middle finger back. I laid back on the chair before standing to hear the door creek opening the doctor walking in.

"If the treatment is working fine, she should be waking up soon. If not then it'll take 2 more days at most."

Her mom burst in front of him, "and if it doesn't?'' she demanded.

"You daughter will not make it." He finished.

4 whole days.

4 whole days of sitting in a hospital, praying for the best. I never left, I stayed the whole time. I wasn't leaving her. I loved her. I wasn't leaving her.

Her mom walked into the door giving me a soft smile. I returned it before relaxing my back on the wall.

"Slate, honey" Bella's mom began to walk over to me. I looked up quickly. Looking at Bella's mother's red eyes.

"Yeah?" I asked sincerely.

"You should really go-"

"No." I declined

"But-"

"No." I cut her off.

"Slate-" She begged.

"No. I said no." I glared at her before she hugging me.

"Bella's lucky to have someone like you." She wrapped her arms completely around me, I sent her a small smile before she walked out of the room.

"I wish I could believe you." I murmured. I slowly walked over to Bella. Her peaceful breathing filling my ear.

"God, I wish I could kiss you again." I leaned down and kissed her forehead missing the feeling of her soft lips on mine. She smelled like herself. I gripped my hand tighter on her palm, bringing it as close to my face as possible, kissing its soft skin. I jumped hearing the door open.

I put it down gently and sat back up when the doctor walked in.

"How's is she doing?" She asked
