He smirked at me and lowered himself to my level. "I should be a moron more often, that felt good." I rolled my eyes at him and saw Skylar and Aiden talking.

Yeah. Somethings going on there. I can practically smell it.

"Bell! Bell! I want to see your pretty dress!"

Layla bounded into my arms. I picked her up and slung her on my waist, where she gave me a soft hug.

"I'm sorry, Layla, I had to take it home. Slate can't see it yet..." I gave her a soft smile and she giggled.

"It's alright, Bell." She squirmed out my out grasp and greeted Bailey.

"Hey, Bailey!" I planted a soft kiss on her head and rubbed her chest.

Slate walked down the stairs and was locked on his phone.

I sent Bailey and Layla to the backyard and focused my attention on Slate.

"What? What's wrong?"

"My mom's working late again tonight, I have to watch Layla."

I smiled and walked over to wrap my arms around his waist. "I'll help."

"You," He reached for my hand, pulling me in front of him, kissing my forehead, gently, "need to get ready for Prom. I'll deal with it."

"Oh! About that...my mom kinda did that...for me." I said shrugging. I kissed his cheek, reaching up to his 6'3' figure, "I'm helping you."

He rolled his eyes at me and smirked. "I can never say no to you."

"Good," I replied, snaking out of his grasp towards the kitchen.

I grabbed out a pot and turned the faucet on for some water.

"What are you doing?" Slate asked.

"Cooking," I said placing the pot on the stove and flicking on the fire.

"Cooking...what?"

I looked around, "not sure, maybe pasta? Do you have seasoning salt?" I looked inside his cabinets.

"Yeah, one of the left. What kinda pasta are you cooking?"

I shrugged and searched through his cabinets.

"Ah-ha!" I turned towards Slate and shook the package of noodles, "want some spaghetti?"

Slate shook his head and smiled before sitting down at the island.

I get the pot and put some water in it. I slip my hair into a ponytail and sigh. I take the pot over to the stove, put the fire on and started boiling the water.
