We sat on my couch. Just the both of us. I was dark in the house.
Slate sat next to me. We were currently watching the New Years Eve in New York.
I looked at Slate and he smiled at me.
"What?" I asked.
"My New Years resolution is to marry you."
I raise my eyebrow. "That's a long-term revolution."
Slate smirked, "but the best." He kissed my cheek.
I rested my head on his shoulder and cuddled into his side loving his warmth.
We look at each other. "2019 already, I think it went by to fast." He said smiling at me.
"Oh really?"
He smirked, "Damn right, I didn't get to spend as much time with you. It just went by too fast."
I roll my eyes, "such a flatterer."
He winks at me before we both watch the ball drop.

Slate turns to me and smiles, "Happy New Year, beautiful." He leans down and kisses me.
I melt into the kiss and my whole heart flutters.
Damn Slate Edwards. He always gets me!
