At that moment, everything wrong felt right. My heart fluttering. My eyes closed. The soft sound of our breathing. He held my waist, and I kept my head resting in the crook of his neck.

"Brownies!"

I stood up suddenly. Slate followed. He gave me the I-May-Love-You-But-I-Might-Love-Your-Dads-Brownies-More look. I smiled sheepishly and agreed.

We raced inside, laughing munching on them.

Priorities. People.

I woke up with a tanned arm around my waist. My eyes exposed to a bare chest. I smiled lightly and kissed the bottom of Slate's chin, smelling his aftershave.

His browns eyes opened slowly. He sighed and sent a breath down my neck. He hummed before stretching his legs. "Morning," he mumbled.

I giggled, and he kissed my forehead. "Morning," I replied back.

"Hungry?'' He asked.

I rolled my eyes, "I can't stay, Slate, I have to make it back to my room before my parents find out."

"Nah. They wouldn't mind. Just say you went out early."

I rolled my eyes again, "they'd kill me if they find out I snuck out of my window. Also, they don't know your room is across from mine." I said in a breathy chuckle.

"Ah! It is very convenient. I give my props to the builder."

I sat up and groaned missing Slate's warmth.

"I'm ready to graduate.'' Slate said suddenly.

"How come?" I asked slipping on my converse.

"I'm ready to lay with you in my bed every morning. Cook your breakfast. See your smiling face every night. Take showers with you," he winked at me, and I felt a deep blush run across my face.

"Slate, I gotta go..." I said smiling.

"Come on! Pleeease!" He begged.

I thought about it.

Can't. Prom. Bella. Prom.

"I'm sorry, I'll call you later." I planted a kiss on his temple and rushed out of the window. I paused, "Oh! Don't forget, brunch at 9." I give him a soft smile before closing my window and placing my curtains back in place.

I shoved my converse under my bed and slipped into an outfit. I put on an off-the-shoulder white leaf-printed crop top, pairing it with a denim skirt, a black shoulder bag, and some circular glass, finishing the outfit with tying my hair into some braids.
