"Father, I have a question," asked Izuku, obviously nervous. "What is it?" answered his father kindly.
"Can... Can I be a hero?" His father seemed little suprised. "We talked about this already, didn't we? You can't be. I'm really sorry, but it's just too dangerous." Izuku knew he would tell him this again. He was disappointed, even if he heard it from his all the time. His father sighed. "Izuku. Nobody is supposed to know about your quirk. It's dangerous for both you and me."
"Father please, I could just not use this one and maybe you–" "No Izuku, I'm not going to do that, you know better than anyone that it's too dangerous..." "But maybe I could–" "No but's! Your body can't handle it and you know it!"
Izuku walked out of the room.

Izuku trained. He trained day in and out, even if his father wasn't very happy about it.
He asked his father again three years later.
"See, I'm totally capable–!" "My answer stays no! Don't even think about doing it!" "Look, father, even if–" "No!"

His father saw how badly Izuku wanted to be a hero. But it wasn't possible. It was just too much of a risk. A risk he shouldn't even think about taking.
He could protect himself, sure, but... he wasn't ready for it.

Izuku snuck out and took the exam. One week later came the acceptance letter.
His father didn't know why and how he couldn't have noticed. Did he...?
...
No, Izuku surely wouldn't do that.
...
But there was the possibility.
I mean, he even took the exam without his father's permission and got into Class 1-A.
Why couldn't it have been 1-B...?

He noticed that Izuku was happier than ever since he got into the hero course.
He was frustrated with himself. He just couldn't tell Izuku to quit...
Now that he thought about it, how did he get the parental permission?
Well, Izuku was good at these things. This was no surprise. But the question stayed HOW exactly Izuku got into U.A. And in the the hero course at that! How did he pass the practical exam?! Maybe he really did it...
... No, no, that couldn't be. He shouldn't doubt his own son... Izuku wouldn't do that just to be a hero–
Except he would.
