Villain or Hero...?

Chapter 7.5: Video Game

It was Izuku's tenth day at the bar.

"Umm.. Shigaraki? Can I ask you something?" asked Izuku curiously.

Shigaraki turned around and looked at him, confused. "Yeah?"

"Why are you here with all the villains? I mean, you are a child like me and I don't see why... Well...

You would join the League? And where are your parents? Are your parents villains?" asked Izuku nervously.

That had apparently struck a nerve because Shigaraki looked at the bar counter and frowned.

"My... parents are dead."

Oh no! Now Izuku had done it for real! Why couldn't he just 'shut the fuck up for once', as Bakugou would say?!

"And I joined the League because.. your father rescued me when no hero would"

No hero would rescue him but his father did? What did – No, not important right now, he made a big mistake and needed to hopefully fix it.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I'm so sorry I asked–" started Izuku, but was interrupted by Shigaraki.

"No, you would find out about it eventually, you are his son after all," stated Shigaraki, looked at Izuku and tried to smile – what turned out really sad – and then continued to simply stare at the bar counter.

Yep, he fucked up.

"Father." spoke Izuku seriously and looked at his father.

Hisashi was surprised by Izuku's behaviour. What exactly happened?

"Yes Izuku?" asked Hisashi kindly but visibly confused.

"I need money..." said Izuku a little bit less serious and kind of ashamed.

Hisashi blinked. Had he heard that right? "Why do you need money?"

"We need to buy Shigaraki a video game! He told me that they had a console but no game that he could play or liked and I wanna see him happy!" blurted Izuku embarrassed out.

Hisashi laughed. His son was really a kindhearted person. But who could blame or deny him?

Definitely not Hisashi.

It was Izuku's eleventh day at the bar.

"Izuku?" asked Shigaraki shyly.

Izuku faced Shigaraki. "Yes? What is it Shigaraki?" replied Izuku really happy that Shigaraki spoke to him. He feared that Shigaraki would hate him.

"Well... we have a new video game and.. I wanted to ask... if you would like to play it with me?"

Izuku's instantly smiled brightly and he replied with a happy "Sure!"

Shigaraki was really relieved at that.

The tension between them vanished completely.
