Akane, Vincent and Kaji weren't at the bar for a while– probably busy with missions –, so Izuku was happy when they were finally there again.
"Akane, I'm glad you survived!"
Vincent and Kaji chuckled but looked equally confused and Akane groaned annoyed, with her head in her arms on the table. She looked up at him. "Yes, I did. Barely. And I'm happy about it." After that, he hid her head in her arms again.
"Why did you even come back?" asked Izuku curiously and tilted his head to the side. Low blow Izuku, low blow. Nobody could withstand that, even if they were the evilest villains on earth. Well, maybe a few could. But he didn't meet those villains yet, so that didn't really matter right now.
"–y –ne" mumbled Akane, but nobody understood her.
"Hm? What did you say?" teased Vincent and Akane groaned again.
After a while, Akane lifted her head again. "My phone! I came back because of my goddamn phone!" Izuku widened his eyes.
Vincent and Kaji looked at Izuku, saw his widened eyes and asked the question that they should've asked a while ago. Well, Vincent to be exact. Kaji didn't speak so much. Now that he thought about it, when did Izuku hear Kaji talk? "What exactly happened?"
"I think she came into the headquarters against Kurogiri's and Fa- Sensei's orders." whispered Izuku, because other villains were here and a few of them gawked at Izuku, what kind of creeped him out, but Kurogiri must've heard him because he squinted his eyes. But Izuku would never know.
Vincent and Kaji's eyes widened too, Vincent additionally gasped. "You did what?!" Vincent whisper-screamed at Akane.
"It was my boyfriend's birthday, okay? I missed it last year because of a mission and I didn't want to repeat it this year too!"
"Why didn't you tell him personally?" asked Izuku and cocked an eyebrow.
"He lives in Hosu, I couldn't just go to Hosu.. I'm being searched for the most in Hosu because of the other day, where I killed this one hero I told you about. The mission after the day I helped you."
"Oh..." answered Izuku ruefully. "So, you didn't really come to check up on me?"
"Do you really think I'm that suicidal? As much as I like you Izukun, I wouldn't go against their orders for you." That was disappointing, but expected. "My boyfriend was really mad last year and that's why I wanted to quietly sneak in, take my phone, and then leave as fast as I could. If it weren't for my boyfriend, I wouldn't have been here and wouldn't have felt your distress. My quirk is limited, you know. I would go crazy if I would feel everyone's emotions from miles away. But then I sensed you and wanted to check up on you. What did you do this time anyway?"
Izuku laughed nervously. "Well, you see..." he began, unsure what to say. He should say exactly what he said to Tomura. "It's the drawback of my quirk." Questions were going to come, questions were going to come –
Silence followed, well except the villains around them.
"But really, are you dumb? Sensei could've killed you, you know," said Vincent, seemingly worried.
Izuku really wanted to say that his father wouldn't do that, that he wasn't such a person, but he couldn't. He didn't really know his father, now does he?
"I know that! And I was lucky that I survived! I'm thankful! Now let me be already!" shouted Akane frustrated, what attracted the attention of a few now really annoyed and angry villains.
