“Good, now, we're at the house.” She said, pointing at the building.

“Oh. I hadn't even noticed.” I said.

Lindsey laughed. “Of course you didn't, airhead.” She said.

I fake scoffed and flipped my hair over my shoulder. “What are you, a joker or something?” I said in my best nasal-y voice. We both had a laugh before trudging in to the building.

When we got to our door, we found it slightly open.

“Linds, did you lock the door behind us?” I asked in a whisper.

“I think so. I mean, yes, yes I did.” She said.

“Okay then. Any one else have a key?” I asked.

“No, not except the landlord, but he always calls beforehand. I haven't got any calls all day.” She said.

“Alright. Do you have your mace?”

“Yeah, it's right here.” She said, carefully slipping her spray can out of her purse.

“Great. Stay here and call the guys.” I told her. I handed her my phone.

“Wait, Mal, don't do it!” She said, pulling on my arm. I shook her hand off.

“No, Linds, I'll be fine.” I said. She nodded grimly and stepped back, unlocking my phone.

I raised the can in front of me, in a defensive, and stepped in to the room, swinging the door open.

I felt a tap on my shoulder and turned quickly, aiming the can and spraying until the guy was on the floor.

“What the bloody hell!” The man, dressed in black, yelled out.

I kicked him in the stomach, but I didn't realize something important.

He had a gun.

I froze, thinking of the day of the concert. It only took that moment for him to take me down, flipping me and pinning me to the floor.

“You think you're so tough now, don't you girl.” The man growled, getting close to my ear.

I kicked and flailed, trying desperately to get him off me. He laughed at my attempts. I yelled out, screamed, but also prayed that Lindsey would stay quiet. I didn't want her to get hurt as well.

“Just shut up, you stupid bitch!” he yelled, before raising the gun. I thought he was going to shoot me, but instead, he swung the butt of the gun down, hitting me in the temple and knocking me out.

Everything went black, and all I could hear was sounds. I didn't know what was going on around me, but I silently pleading that Lindsey was okay. Please, please let her be okay.

I heard grunting and a horrible crunching sound. Someone yelled out in pain, and I heard a thunk as something fell to the floor.

Then, there was a repeated hitting noise as someone grappled with the other. I rolled my head around, trying to open my eyes. They creaked open only a bit, and I saw a flash of blonde, and then a flash of brown, and then another one, this one black.

Then, finally, then noises stopped. I heard sirens, and then I felt myself being picked up off of the ground. I looked up and saw Harry's face, a bruise forming on his cheek. When I turned my head, I saw Zayn sitting on the couch, comforting a crying Lindsey. That's when I saw Niall, walking right behind Harry, a furious look on his face. He had a cracked lip and he had a little limp.
