The Brightest Stars

High up
In the deepest blue
Lies the fates
Still unchanged
Still broken
Still mending

Slowly mending

Every living body
Every mind and soul
Is intertwined
With a fate of its own

I have found the fates of my friends

Located my mother's soul

The body my sister possesses

The mind my brother holds

I found them all

Even the ones
Only a stranger could keep

But never once
Have my eyes had the pleasure
To feast upon my own
My mind
My body
My soul
My star

I guess is because I'm dull

Because no one notices my surface

No one has touched my raw emotion

But none of it matters
Because I haven't found my star

Deep underneath
The heart fulfilling black
Lies my life
My being
My home
My star

I've searched and I've searched
And finally I found myself
In a small dark corner
Alone

My small
Lightless
star

Still unchanged
Still broken
Still...

Meaningless

Without the light I so wish to grasp
In between my fingers and palm

I may not be the brightest star
But neither is the sun
And it seems pretty important to me
