The truth I mean
Not just anyone can shake it off
With a smile
As though they had known
all along
That ability is a true gift
A gift you must handle with care
For I know of weak ones
Ones who would kill for a gift such as that
And a message to those weaker ones
Stay strong
Don't let it get to you
If they fight you with the truth
Fight back with some truths of your own
And sometimes even the closest of friends
Need to hear the truth
And I know it hurts to say it
It hurts to have to hurt them
But sometimes you have to
Don't take on all the burdens
Don't waste away
It will be hard to tell your friends
And even harder
To stand
And speak truth
To your enemies
But you must
Yes, I know that the
Truth hurts
But sometimes you've just got
To let someone else
