Sleeping Beauty

Glitter filled dust specks
Fill the surrounding air

Become tangled within our lungs

And encase our hearts

You look pretty in sleep
My darling

Flowers blooming
Between fingers

Sunlight kisses dot your face
in ever glowing beauty

Eyes closed

Slowed breathing

Becoming like you
Would be a tragedy
Such a lifeless fate

I'd rather perish
Than become this sleeping beauty

I'll end your life
To end your fate
You'll thank me one day
When we meet
On the other side
At that perfect white palace

You'll make a darling angel

And I'm sorry
You must be cloaked in red
To be dressed in white

Your caretakers had
superior intentions

The execution however
Was poor at best

They filled your lungs
With glitter
Found only in the stars

In hopes to save you from the dead
And instead
Simply send you into
Eternal slumber

But this Prince won't
Bestow upon you
A life giving kiss of my
True, true
Loving lips

I shall pull this dagger
From my belt
And take from you
What now is mine

And once the darkest
deed is done

I shall follow you
By poison

Well meet again one day
After life is done

My darling princess
Please forgive
For I know this pain is true

But one day soon
I'll come to you

And wipe the blood

The blood that I have taken

Oh sweet sleeping beauty
The dust-glitter will be gone
And those flowers
Will constrict you body
While your soul
Stays
Safely
With me
