What's Right in Front of You [colifer]

Chapter 21

The next morning Jennifer had to drag herself out of bed, as she was dreading seeing Colin. When her alarm clock rang she groaned. She was even thinking about calling in sick. She grabbed her phone from her nightstand and started scrolling on Instagram for inspirational quotes. Maybe some helpful words of wisdom would cheer her up. However, she soon fell down the rabbit hole of Colifer. There were so many pictures of her and Colin together. A lot of the fans thought that they had something going on because of the way they looked at each other. Jennifer looked through the comments on one of the many pictures that Jennifer and Colin took at comic con 2 years ago. Colin was leaning so close to her. Jennifer remembered the feeling of Colin's body against hers, she remembered how she had to dig deep inside her to not freak out or even react when he did that. Attached to the picture that she was looking at was a tweet. It said: "I don't watch the show, but I think their Fucking". Jennifer was shocked, it was an old picture but so many people were commenting saying that this was proof that her and Colin belonged together.

Suddenly Ava jumped on the bed and startled Jennifer. "Hey baby," Jennifer scratched behind her ears. "You love me don't you. No matter what happens I always have you," Jennifer gave her a cuddle. Jennifer then checked her phone. It was 8:00 she was supposed to already be at the studio. "Shot!" She said to herself. She quickly texted Ginny and told her to cover for her since she would be late. Jennifer quickly got changed into sweatpants and a baggy white t shirt. She would be changing into her costume anyways. She then threw some greens, juice and protein powder into the blender to make her a morning smoothie. Then she jumped into her car and drove to the studio.

As soon as Jennifer got to set she went to find Ginny to thank her for it telling anyone that she was running late. "Colin is looking for you," Ginny said. "Ahhh I don't don't wanna see him," Jennifer complained. "You are gonna have to talk to him eventually," Ginny reminded her. "Luckily that won't happen today," Jennifer said remembering the call sheet she glanced at in the morning. Jennifer only had two scenes today and they were with Ginny, Josh and Lana. Ginny rolled her eyes and her and Jennifer walked to the hair and makeup trailer.

Jennifer sat in her usual car and waited for one of the makeup artists to start. Sometimes her makeup and hair took so long that she would fall asleep in the car. However, Jennifer would not be getting any rest today, as Ginny was talking to her. Jennifer put one of her earphones in to listen to some cheerful and upbeat music, maybe it would help her forget about what happened the night before. "Jennifer?" Ginny called. "Yeh sorry?" Jennifer said. She wasn't really paying attention to what Ginny was saying all she could think about was Colin. Jennifer was remembering the time when he surprised her by coming into the hair and makeup trailer. He played her a song on his guitar and sang to her.  That day seemed so long ago. Back then her and Colin were just starting to get to know each other. That was before Jennifer fell for him. Jennifer wondered if Colin would still do things like that for her now that he knew she liked him. 

"Jennifer you didn't answer my question," Ginny called again. "Sorry," Jennifer said guilty. "Do you want to go to the play land?" Ginny asked again. Play land was an amusement park in Vancouver. It opened every summer and it was closing soon so Ginny wanted to go, as she had never gone before. "Umm... sure," Jennifer replied. Jennifer loved amusement parks. She always enjoyed going on all of the rides. Her parents used to take her and her siblings to Disneyland all the time when she was little. "Ok great! Lana, Fred and Josh are coming too. We are gonna go after you finish filming with Lana," Ginny said. "Ok sounds good," Jennifer said.

The scene with Lana took longer than anticipated as in the scene both of them where using their magic. They had to film multiple angles which took a lot longer. At least they got lots of time to chat in between takes. "Colin told me to tell you that he wants to talk to you?" Lana said. "Yeah Ginny told me he wanted to talk to me too," Jennifer replied. "Then why arn't you going to talk to him?" Lana asked. "I don't know... maybe I am not ready for his answer yet," Jennifer thought. "Or maybe you think that by waiting his answer will change," Lana suggested. "I'm just scared. I think things are gonna change lot between us because of what I said," Jennifer frowned. "While you don't know anything for sure until you talk to him. You can't avoid him forever," Lana tried to give her some helpful advice.

Ginny and Josh were already at Playland since Jennifer texted Ginny saying that her and Lana were gonna be late. After Lana and Jennifer got changed back into their clothes and took off their makeup, they went to Lana's apartment to pick up Fred. Fred kissed Lana on the lips when he got into the car. Jennifer felt a tab bit jealous, as she wished that she had someone to be intimate with. Jennifer sat in the back seat so that Lana and Fred could talk. Jennifer felt oddly like a little kid in the car again, as she was left out of the conversation.

Finally they arrived at Playland. Lana luckily found a parking space near the entrance so they didn't have to walk far. They bought their tickets and then entered the gates. Jennifer was quickly noticed the smell of popcorn and Cotten candy. She hadn't ate all day, maybe she would treat herself to a hot dog later. Jennifer had been to Playland before, but she didn't go on any of the rides. She came in the summer when the PNE was going on. Colin had asked her to go to a Christina Perri concert. Christina Perri was a huge fan of Once Upon A Time and she loved CaptainSwan. Jennifer had thought at first that it was just going to be her and Colin, but when they arrived the whole cast was there. Jennifer hadn't heard many of Christina Perri's songs before, however, one of the songs that she sang that night really connected with her. The song was called distance and Jennifer could have sworn that the song was about her and Colin. The lyrics were exactly how Jennifer was feeling.

"Jen! Ginny and Josh are by the haunted house. Fred and I are going to line up for the Woden roller coster," Lana said. "Ok see you guys later," Jennifer smiled and started to walk towards the haunted house. When Jennifer got to the haunted house Ginny and Josh were no where to be found. She checked her phone to see if Ginny and Josh texted her, but there was nothing. Jennifer texted them asking where they were, but they didn't reply. Jennifer decided to wait a bit longer, as maybe Ginny and Josh got caught up in a crowd of people. Jennifer was in the middle of texting Ginny again when she heard her name being called. "Jennifer?" Jennifer looked up from her phone to see Colin. "What are you doing here?" They both said at the same time. "Ginny and Lana wanted me to come," Jennifer said. "Me too," Colin said. "Looks like we have been set up."
