Colin's party went perfectly. Colin, Helen and Evan decorated the house spookily. Everyone had the best time. Lana loved Jennifer and Colin's costumes. Colin sent a picture to Sean and they even face timed him. Adam and Eddie had just announced that Sean would be coming back and the entire cast was exctatic. They all missed having him on set.
"Great party," Jennifer hugged Colin.
"Thanks for coming my love," he kissed her on the cheek. Jennifer tried so hard to not blush, but she knew that her cheeks were already red. She smiled shyly and walked out the door. She had the biggest grin the whole walk back to her house. Sometimes the little things Colin did made her feel like her feeling weren't only one sided.

"So did you make your decision about seeing Jesse?" Colin asked Jennifer while they were at hair and makeup.
"Yeah I think I am gonna see him," Jennifer said.
"Really that's great!" Colin hugged her.
"I hope it goes ok," Jennifer said.
"I am sure it will," Colin reassured her. Jennifer was not the sure about going to see Jesse, but it was Colin's idea and his idea's always worked out. She had messaged Jesse on Facebook, but he hadn't replied yet. She planned to stay just one day. That was all the time she needed.
"I was thinking about planning something big for Helen and I's anniversary. Any ideas?" Colin asked Jennifer. Colin always asked Jennifer for gift and party ideas.
"You should get her jewellery," Jennifer suggested. Whenever Colin asked Jennifer what he should buy Helen Jennifer always just told him what she would want.
"Good idea, do you wanna come with me and help pick something out?" Colin asked.
"I am actually busy, sorry," Jennifer said apologetic.
"Ooo does someone have a date?" Colin asked.
"No I am going on my trip remember," Jennifer was kinda hurt that he had forgotten. Colin always remembered everything about Jennifer's life.
"Oh ya sorry. I am just kinda distracted because I want to make this anniversary special," Colin told her.
"It's ok," Jennifer smiled. Colin and Helen had known each other their entire lives. However, they first started dating when they were 18. They had been together for 17 years and suddenly things had started to get tricky. With Colin always in Vancouver it was hard for them to see each other a lot. They tried their best because Colin wanted to see his son Evan as much as he could, but things were getting messy. Colin and Helen now argued regularly. Colin hoped that by having a perfect anniversary it would fix things.

At the end of the school day Helen waited for Colin at the front steps of the school just like every other school day. It was a Friday which meant that their families would be having dinner together. They took turns having each family over every week. This week it was Colin's families turn which meant that Helen could stay at his house the whole night.
"Sorry," Colin finally arrived.
"I got caught up doing my art project," Colin explained. Colin was an amazing artist he went on exchange to an art school in Paris the year before for a month. "It's ok," Helen smiled. They started to walk towards the direction of their houses. Colin and Helen were neighbours and had know each other since they were born. Their families had been friends since before they were born.
"Ugh I have so much homework to do," Colin complained.
"Me too," Helen agreed.
"Can you help me with my math?" Colin asked her.
"Yeah sure if you help me with my English," Helen said.
"Deal," Colin smiled. That smile had always drove Helen crazy. She never admitted to anyone or to herself, but she liked Colin. She always had. She could never tell him though. Everyone at school would make fun of them. They always had to try so hard to explain to people that they were just friends. If they were to get together they would be seen as hypocrites. Also Colin only saw her as just a friend.

When they got to Colin's house Helen flopped on to the couch in Colin's room. Their parents had no problem with them spending time in each others rooms. They trusted them.
"I am so ready for the week end," Helen said sitting up.
"Me too," Colin said throwing his backpack on the ground.
"Any plans?" Helen was curious if Colin had a girlfriend. She had heard people talking about him and a girl called Melissa. Melissa was a nice girl, but she was basically the opposite of Helen. Which meant that Helen was not Colin's type of girl.
"Maybe going out with some people, I don't really know though. How about you?" Colin asked her back.
"Who are you going out with?" Helen asked not answering his question.
"Melissa and like them," Colin answered.
"Is she like your girlfriend?" Helen asked.
"Yeah I guess," Colin said unsure. He liked her, but he didn't really know if he wanted to get into a relationship. Everyone seemed to want them together, so Colin just went along with it.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Helen playfully hit him on the arm.
"It's just complicated," Colin told her.
"How so?" Helen asked.
"It's a long story can we just work on our homework?" Colin asked. Helen could tell that Colin wasn't into talking about it so she dropped the topic and worked on her homework.
