"What's the news Morrison?" Colin asked Jennifer. This was his way of keeping up with her life. They always liked to joke that they were really boring people, so whenever Colin asked What's the news Jennifer had to answer something interesting. That was the only rule.

"Umm, I am super upset because I had to cancel my plans with Taylor," Jennifer said.

"So why do you like Taylor?" Colin asked Jennifer. She was a little caught off guard by the question because she and Taylor weren't that serious yet.

"Umm, well he is super sweet and kind," Jennifer stuttered.

"Ok, but..." Colin said still waiting for a proper answer.

"But what?" Jennifer asked.

"You guys just... Never mind," Colin decided to just drop the subject.

Colin could not believe what he just heard. Helen and him had always been just friends. He thought that she liked it that way. They had never actually talked about it, but they always told people that they were just friends nothing more.

"How long?" Colin wanted to make sure that Helen hadn't been hiding this for a long time.

"I don't know exactly when, but for a while," Helen blushed. She couldn't believe that she was finally admitting her feeling for him.

"Why didn't you tell me? We tell each other everything," Colin looked straight into Helen's eyes. He felt betrayed by her.

"I guess I didn't want to loose you. We have always been so close, and why would I want to ruin something good?" Helen looked down at her feet. Helen did not plan on telling Colin that she liked him in the way that she just did. She couldn't tell how he was reacting to it. He did say that he liked her back so her feeling were most liking one sided.

"So do you feel the same way?" Helen wanted to clear things up.

"I..." Colin didn't want to give Helen an answer right away. He knew that he liked her, but he knew that it was a bad idea for them to date. What would happen if they broke up? It was better to be just friends. There was no point in complicating something that had worked for so long.

"I'm sorry but I don't that way," immediately after Colin said those words he regretted it. He could feel his stomach drop a thousands feet.

"Ok then," Helen could feel the tears about to drip out of her eyes again. She needed to keep it together. She didn't want to show Colin that she was upset. He would feel bad for her and his pity was the last thing that she needed.

"Let me drive you home," Colin offered again.

"It's ok go back to the party I will find my own way home," Helen forced a smile.

"Helen please," Colin grabbed her hand. Helen surprised by his touch abruptly turned around to face him.

"Fine," Helen agreed.

The entire ride home Helen and Colin didn't way word to each other. Colin pulled into his driveway and Helen opened her car door to get out.

"I'm sorry," Colin said before she left.

"Don't be sorry, you can't control your feelings," Helen started to walk across the driveway to her house.

"Helen I am not the kind of boy you think I am," Colin ran after her.

"Every single relationship I mess up. I don't want to hurt you too," Colin told Helen the truth.

"Colin you don't have to protect me. I am strong," Helen cracked a smile.

"And also by lying to me you are hurting me, so I don't see how that works," Helen joked.

"I like you Helen, I have for a while," before Helen could answer their lips were on each others.

Jennifer was prepping for her night shot, but for some reason she couldn't stop scratching her arms. They were starting to turn red, but luckily in the scene Emma was wearing long sleeves. "Did you eat the carrots?" Colin tapped Jennifer on the shoulder.

"How did you know?" Jennifer turned around. Colin grabbed her wrists, "They were next to the papers," Colin smirked. Colin knew that Jennifer was allergic to peppers, and that was why she was so itchy. He knew her better than she knew herself. They were defiantly in sync today. Moments like these drove Jennifer crazy. It was like the universe was telling them that they belong together.
