Kit failed to book an appointment with his best friend, Phana today, so he tries to book it for the next day, Thurday. He doesn't want to go to another doctor as only Phana and Beam, his other friend, that know who he really is.

Too much paperwork will be needed if he goes to a different hospital. Phana is a surgeon, specializing in orthopaedic. Kit was thinking if he really has some problems with his back, he might as well consult with him. Beam on the other hand is a doctor too. But his specialized... is on other thing.

Nothing related to Kit, or so does he thinks.

Feeling sore, Kit spend most of his day at home until 6 in the evening. Feeling much better than in the morning, he dressed up casually, thinking of heading to his restaurant.

Ming, on the other hand is frowning in his office, listening to a report on his phone.

"Chef Kit just head out from his house, sir."

----------

Ming's POV

I hung up my phone.

He didn't go to the restaurant today. Why?

I wonder what happen today. As far as I know he is a workaholic. Is he sick? Not feeling well? Or...

My thoughts wonder to the event last night. God... I did him too much last night, didn't I?

I've never been the one on the receiving end, but I do know if I happen to lose control during my 419, my partner can barely wake up the next day.

Shit. I face palmed myself mentally thinking about this. My angel must be in so much pain this morning. He must not be able to get off the bed.

Now I feel guilty. I shouldn't have done that. I shouldn't have leave him alone. I'm sorry, my angel.

I rush out, feeling regretful over this and head straight to my car.

I need to see him. Now.

----------

Kit's POV

The restaurant is not super pack today. I reach my restaurant and head straight to the front door. I want to see how are my crew doing without me. So far so good. No visible mishap. Everything is clearly arranged and organized.

Not that I didn't trust them. But once in a while, a little inspection wouldn't hurt, wouldn't it. Plus I need to observe our temp staff. Some of them didn't recognize me, but they serve me well.

I ask for the corner most seat, thinking it will be better for me to do my inspection. I wince a little when I sit at one of the table the server led me to. Fuck, I don't know my restaurant seats are this hard.

"Boss, are you feeling okay already?"

Rachel head toward my table after one of the temp server take my order. I smile at her, hiding my pain, beckoning her to sit with me.

"I'm not feeling well this morning so I plan to get a check-up. But my doctor is not free today so I'll do my check up tomorrow. So, how is today?"

She proceeds to report to me the progress for today. My food was serve to me a moment later. I choose a bowl of tom yum noodle with seafood, my favourite.

However, as soon as the dish arrive at my table, I was assault with the most unpleasant smell. I automatically push it away, holding my nose, trying to contain myself from gagging.

"Boss, is there something wrong with the dish?"

I feel my anger raise. Wrong? The whole dish is rotten. Can't she smell it? Is this what they serve to the customer in my absence?

"Follow me... and bring the noodle too."

I head to the kitchen with Rachel and the temp server, bringing the bowl with her, ready to explode. But seeing my crew working hard in there makes me suppress my anger.

"Guys, hold on a moment."

They finally stop their work, looking at me in confusion.

"May I see today's delivery for seafood?"

They look at each other, feeling more confuse with my order. Two of them head to the chilled storage and bring out a medium size, white seafood chilled box. They open it for me, for my inspection.

The foul smell assaults my nose again. I hold my nose, ready to scold them for using spoiled ingredients when it struck me. They were okay. How? With this rotten smell how can any of them handle it?

All of my crew were dumbfounded by my action. I was even more so with theirs. Holding my nose, I take a look at the box. All the seafood looks fresh enough. I touch them, flip them around, checking if there is any rotten one mix in it. I found none. Weird.

"Boss, is there any problem with the seafood? We got it from our usual supplier."

I shake my head before closing the box. The smell really gets to me. I wonder what's wrong with me.

"Get back to work. Rachel, send out our apologies to our patron for the delay. Tell them they will be getting a 10% off their meal tonight."

I start to walk out of the kitchen but stop at the temp server that still hold my bowl of tom yum.

"You, bring this to my office."

----------

Kit stare at his bowl of tom yum on his table. He is stuck further back on his chair, holding his nose. Every time he gets close to it, he starts to gag.

It took him a while to get used to the smell. It was still unbearable but he needs to do so.

Kit pull the bowl closer to him, flinching, with his stomach rolling inside him, threatening to vomit. He tries to breath with his mouth as he spoons up a bit of soup to taste.

The soup was okay. It's the smell of the seafood that really turn him off. Feeling hungry, he tries to ignore the smell and wolf down his noodle.

He starts to wonder, since when he starts to feel repulsed towards seafood. Seafood is an important part of a Thai cuisines. He works with seafood daily.

Then he starts to remember, he has been having this weird reaction toward seafood since a few days ago. He remembers how he can no longer stand the smell of fresh seafood and have to ask his crew to prepare them up.

But at that time he still can handle it, cook and eat it too. Now if he can't even eat it, can't even get near it, how can he do his job?

He reaches out his phone and quickly dial a number.

"Hey, Kitty. What's up?"

"Pha, is there any way for you to give me a check-up today, now?"

"Are you okay, Kit? My flight is in an hour. Do you want to head to Beam first?"

Kit hung up the phone a while later after agreeing to meet with Beam. But before he gets to the door, he doubles back to the bathroom, gagging.

He slumps down next to the toilet bowl, feeling faint. He musters all his remaining strength to call a number before he passed out.
