44. Lovers, Allies and the Enemies

Kit's POV

"We are also announcing the marriage between our family young lady, Miss Moowan Innochtare with the young master of Dachaipaya. Miss Moowan is the younger twin sister of the heir of Innochtare."

All eyes are on the stage as a young woman walk out and step on the platform. She does resemble the elderly man at the center of stage, which he stands up, receiving his granddaughter, making the media believes that this is the real deal, despite the fact that her existence was unknown before.

However, nobody dare to question it, since the Innochtare family is so powerful.

The heir of Innochtare that was watching the whole processing was fuming silently, tempering down the temperature of his office by multiple degrees.

His friend's lover who hasn't once seen him in his true nature was shock, and one of them is visibly shivering in fear.

Phana hold his lover, trying to calm him down while signalling to Beam, to control their pregnant friend. Beam shared a look with his lover, who seemingly unaffected by Kit's aura, before approaching the demon.

"Kit, calm down, na..."

"That.is.not.my.twin. She's dead. I got her womb, remember?"

Kit's POV

They dare to do such thing not only to me but to Ming as well. Who the fuck is Moowan?

She does look like Dada and me but... didn't mother said...

Unless...

I scramble back to my desk, ignoring Beam, and get my hidden phone, directly dialling my man.

"Find out who the hell is Moowan."

I cut the call when Uncle Jac announced that he is inviting the head of Dachaipaya to answer some question. I watch an older version of my devil, walking on the stage, and take a seat beside my Dada, after sharing a hug.

It seems like they have planned this for quite some time already. But how? Me and Ming were together less than a week. And... that night... it was only around a month plus or so.

So how?

"I'm very happy to announce that this marriage will take place in the next two months. Just right after the Innochtare's wedding."

Kitty, calm down, na. You are pushing him out.

You would think I care if I let the demon out? Do you know what I'm seeing right now? Red!

I turn my attention back to my phone, my hidden phone as it blinks silently. From the corner of my eyes, I keep my gaze at the tv, unable to listen to the rubbish spewed by my devil's old man.

"We have taken a look at her. Moowan, on paper, is indeed the young lady of the manor. They bring her in around six months ago, but they put her in the separate manor. However, there's no information about her before the last six months."

"The queen?"

"She is still in Paris."

So, I assume my mother still has no idea about this? That's why Dada insisted to send her abroad; she will go berserk over this. Is this his new trick to bring me back?

Scoff.

Under my dead body, Dada.

Fine, wrong choice of word. Let's just kill him.

The office grew silent, watching their angered friend barking orders, no... calmly ordering someone from behind the phone, using cryptic words. They are having a hard time, as none of them have seen Kit's fully demonic side, not even Phana and Beam, not to this extend.
