Kit's POV

I try my hardest to calm down and listen to him. Over the past half an hour, he explains to me who he is. It turns out that he too comes from the same type of family as I am. An old family with old money and involved in both black and white side of the world.

He had been groom from birth to inherit the empire, like me. He doesn't have any legit siblings, but he told me that his father have impregnated more woman outside, more than he can count of. Which means, he is not the sole heir.

"That is who I am, my angel. Can you accept me, like this?"

His question passes through my ears. How can I say no to him when we are practically the same? But then...

"So, you knew? About the news?"

He nods his head in silent, with pain flash across his eyes. He slowly approaches me, tugging my body to his and when I didn't retaliate, he swiftly hugs me close.

"Please tell me it's not true, my angel. I can't lose you. Not to anyone. Not now, not ever."

No wonder he thought that you are leaving him, Kitty. It's because of the news.

"How did you know about this? This piece of news is not supposed to be let known to public until tomorrow."

I push him back, as I ask this. The only type of people that would know it first-hand are either the Innochtare's allies, which they would have been told or their enemy, which would be the one who spied on them.

"My father told me about it. We met a while ago."

His father?

Wait... is the Dachaipaya their enemy or allies? I have no recollection over that name.

"Angel..."

"Ming... go home now. I need to think this through."

"Angel, please... just tell me something. I can't leave you like this. No! I won't leave."

Yeah, 'coz I'm the one who's leaving.

Kit....

After much persuasion, the devil finally leaves the restaurant. But he didn't head home. Instead, he waits in his car, as he always does.

The angel is having a massive nauseous attack as soon as the devil leaves. He hunch over the toilet bowl, gagging his stomach out, before drop tirelessly on the cold marble floor. He has no more tears to cry. All he can do is stare blankly on the toilet wall, thinking of nothing, feeling empty.

After a good while, he starts to move, albeit slowly. He feels sluggish and all he wants to do is slump somewhere and sleep. But he know he have a lot of things to do.

He creeps downstairs and head to his office. Locking the door, he head to his table and starts to make some call with his hidden phone.

"Hasten the preparation. We'll be leaving in two weeks."

Kit's POV

Kitty...

I...

Take a deep breath, Kitty. And think slowly about this.

I take out a piece of black Polaroid size card paper from my wallet. It's the newest sonogram of my baby.

My baby.

I'm doing all of this to ensure his safety. I have to do this.

But... by running away? He is practically the same as you, Kitty. Why can't you just stay and let him know the truth? He loves you and accepts you, for everything that you are.
