Kit's POV

I didn't even bother to change my uniform when I got home. I collapse my body on my bed, engulf within the soft mattress.

I'm so freaking tired.

The event that have been push to the back of my mind come forward again at the moment my mental barriers collapse. Sigh... I really hope Lynn is smart enough or...

I think I need to make some phone calls.

I turn to my side table, bringing out another cell phone. An old model that have no other use except for receiving calls and messages. I push the center button, calling up the only number that is saved in it.

While waiting for the call to be connected, leaning on my headrest, my mind starts to wonder, far...

To the beginning.

---

Ten years ago,

"Little Master, we are ready."

Being the only heir for a large powerful family in Thailand sure bring up tremendous pressure. But I'm enjoying every moment of it. I can do whatever I want and get to do it with style.

Ever since I was twelve, Dada, my grandfather has been bringing me along every time he goes out for his business. Why? For him, his daughter, my mother, doesn't seem fit to handle his business and my father, have passed away before I was born. So, none other than me that is qualified to continue his legacy.

Now, at sixteen, Dada have taught me all the trick of the trade. Both white and black. He insisted that I learn both, as he told me, light would not be enjoyed without darkness.

"Mr. Sirkuk, are you sure you won't relent on our offer?"

I'm sitting in front of an elderly man, in his office, with an offer to buy his company. My Dada's assistant, Uncle Jack, is standing behind me. I can see the amused look on his face. Being sixteen, I'm a bit on the smaller side, looking cute, with the baby fat still hanging on my cheeks.

I don't really mind looking like this. It serves its advantages from time to time.

"Boy, your offer here is relatively lower than the other offer that I get. Close to 20% less."

He proceeds to lean on his chair leisurely, smirk at me.

"Go home and learn some more, boy. I respect your grandfather; hence you are invited to meet me. But this... I can't accept."

I let out a sweet smile to him. I turn to Uncle Jac, signaling him. He proceeds to put a folder in front of us.

"I believe you should take a look at this."

I push the folder to Mr. Sirkuk, with two of my fingers. I watch as the smirk on his face turn slowly into frown, as he slowly flips its content.

"What the fuck is this? Are you playing me, boy?"

He is huffing in rage, towering me standing up. I look up to him, no longer smiling, with a gaze that my Dada called Sub Zero, staring right at him.

"I may be a boy, Mr. Sirkuk. But I am an Innochtare."

I let out a small smirk, seeing the older man shivers. He flop down to his seat before he asks me, what I want, noted, with trembled voice.

"If you had agreed to my condition before, Mr. Sirkuk, perhaps the damage might not be this big. As you know, we, the Innochtare does not take insult lightly."

The atmosphere has drop to the max, for sure, as I watch him struggle to breath. I stand, straightening my coat, looking down at the terrified man.

I hold out my hand to Uncle Jack and he pass me another folder, containing another contract. I open it up and place it in front of Mr. Sirkuk.

"Sign."

Moments later, I walk outside the building, talking to my Dada. I report to him my success in gaining the company. He laughs when I told him that I manage to buy the company with less than 80% of its market price.

"I knew I made the right decision appointing you as my successor. Good job, kid. Now come home. Let have some lunch."

"Yes, Dada."

I never knew the day of my first success will be the same day of my first nightmare. I enter my house and was crossing the hallway when I heard how Dada talk to my mother. I was surprised to know she's here. I haven't seen her much since I was twelve, since Dada took me under his wing.

"You can't forgive him yet? He is your son after all, my heir."

I stop just before the living room, trying to listen. I knew my mother does not like me much. Dada say I look a lot like my father. She might be sad. But I never knew that I have made some mistake that I need to ask her forgiveness.

"Your heir? Yes... that is the only thing that you care about, don't you, dad? You don't care how he was born out of wedlock. You don't even care that he was a product of rape. Me! Your only daughter was rape! By your so called trusted henchmen!"

I gasp in shock hearing this. Slowly, tears start to pool at the corner of my eyes. Now I realize why mother have been so cold to me. I was unwanted.

"And he even killed..."

---

"Hello..."

The gruff response on the other side jolt me up from my memories. Tears have fall on my cheeks. Pulling away from the phone, I wipe away my tears and cleared my throat.

"Hello... Little Master. Is that you?"

It has been a long time since I've been called by that name. Ever since I ran away and start my life anew, no one have called me that.

"Yes, Uncle Jac. It's me."

"It has been a long time, Little Master. What can I do for you? Do you need to speak with the Elder?"

"No." It come out roughly. I don't want to speak with him, at least not now. I took a breath, trying to calm myself down before I continues.

"I need to report on something."

I told him everything about Lynn. To be honest, it's not that I'm worried about the scandal. I'm more worried about her. I don't want the Innochtare to run to her and get the baby, only to know that the baby is not his. She will be dead for sure.

Ever since I know the truth about me and another truth about my well-being, Dada have been obsessed with descendant. Heir.

Especially since I ran away.

The only reason he didn't force me back is because I knew too much and threatens to disclose everything to the public. During my short stint as Innochtare heir, I have made some connection, powerful connection. I'm willing to use them to get out.

I choose to call Uncle Jack because he is the one that give the most help before. I'm not sure if he was being ordered to help me by Dada or he was helping me sincerely, he have been helping me get away and create a new identity. I choose to use my original first name and Innochtar as my last name just to make sure I remember.

"Yes, Little Master. I know what to do."

"Thanks, Uncle Jack."

I switch off the phone and let myself collapse to my bed again. I slowly drift off to sleep, with my mind wondering.

Shit... I am an Innochtare, am I? When can I escape being them? When can I be... me?
