My 419 Nightmare

16. Before the Storm

There is a slight commotion at the restaurant The House of Us that night. Out of the blue, an ambulance halt in front of it and two paramedics carrying a stretcher led by a handsome gentleman rush in.

Rachel, being the manager of the restaurant was startled seeing the gentleman who was known as his boss best friend rush in and goes straight to his boss office. She tries to calm down their patron before hurriedly follow the gentleman, trying to warn him that their boss is resting.

What she saw later shock her to the core. Her boss is lying unconscious in the toilet and his friend is trying to give him some first aid with the help of those two paramedics.

"Oh my god! What happen? Dr. Beam, is boss going to be okay?"

"I'm not sure, Rachel. He called me before he passed out. That's why I come with the ambulance."

Beam don't really know what happen to his friend. While Kit's vital is on the normal level, it almost bordering dangerously low. He asks the paramedics to put Kit on the stretcher and get him to the hospital, asap.

"I believe you can handle the restaurant all by yourself, right. I'll be sending him to the Kongthanin's Hospital. You can check on him later."

Rachel agree to this and head out to make sure the restaurant can still operate as usual. She apologizes to their patron on the disturbance, letting them know one of their server crew fainted due to some illness. She then proceeds to inform the rest of the crew the truth and warned them to not let any news leak outside the restaurant.

Mew who have just arrived after handling the dinner buffet at LGT was shocked over this. He volunteers to go to check on their boss at the hospital, but Rachel ask him to stay. The kitchen is in need of the sous chef to lead during this turbulent times.

"Boss is being treated by his doctor friend. He will be okay. Let's just keep this restaurant open as usual and wait for the news. Dr. Beam say we can check on him later. I'm planning to go there after we close up."

"I'm coming."

"Yeah, me too."

"Count me in."

The rest of the crew were so worried with what happen and they feel the need to know. Their boss has always treated them like a family, fair and friendly.

They keep on working, trying their best so they won't disappoint their boss. They all agree to visit him later at the hospital, praying that their boss is okay.

The restaurant finally calms down from all the commotion. But not in the heart of a certain person.

Ming's POV

My angel looks so pristine sitting there by the window.

After I get the call, I straightaway drove here to his restaurant. LGT is quite near to his restaurant than from his house so I arrived earlier than him. Not to mention the speed of my driving that can surely rival most NASCAR racers out there.

He wore a casual getup today. A baby blue, long sleeves shirt, folded to the elbow with a long khaki and sockless pair of brown loafers surely make him look adorably delicious. This would be my second time seeing him wear something that is not his uniform.

Ehem... sexy boxers don't count.

I saw my angel walk in, sauntering like he owns the place. I mean... He does own the restaurant. But... the air he gives out is parallel to most VIP or royalty.
