That night Ayden decided that we need to celebrate at our revelation. Reluctantly, I agreed. I had begged Key to come with us because he had been just as much help in this case like the rest of us, save for Ayden, and he need to celebrate too. He declined, saying that he wanted to stay in and relax before we started on the other part of the case.

So here I sat, in a giant ass tee shirt and some ripped jeans, sipping lightly from my beer. I wasn't in the mood to get shitfaced and have to deal with it tomorrow so a few beers was all for me. Ayden and Dee were cuddling in the corner of the bar, pretending as if the whole place wasn't watching them. Sometimes I wished I could be like them, not have a care in the world but alas, my brain hates me.

"Thinking about the case?" Cole asked, leaning over to me. I quickly nodded, picking that up as my excuse.

"We've made a big dent in it, all thanks to you." I nudged his shoulder with my own, sending him a smile.

"You're the one who realized the track marks, I just told you what car. I have to be honest, seeing you all caught up in your work is such a turn on," He smirks and leans over, pressing a small kiss to the corner of my mouth. I stare of into space which obviously alarms Cole. "You having bad thoughts?"

I send him a reassuring smile, "No, just bored. I'm actually in a good state of mind at the moment. For some reason when I'm with you, the rest of my problems float away. I don't have a panic attack when you show me slightest bit of affection in public anymore. The case is going great. I just-, maybe you're my good luck charm."

"I'm flattered. How about we leave to lovers to themselves, and go back to the hotel. We had a long night yesterday and you woke up too early. You have to be tired,"

"A little," I answer and gulp down the remainder of my beer.

"The bed, lazy sex and then cuddling seem like the perfect way to end the night. Come on," he stands and slips into his jacket. His hand wraps around my waist as he leads me out of the bar, sending a subtle nod to Ayden as we leave.

"Do you have anymore meetings tomorrow?" I ask and lace my fingers through his.

"Just one in the morning and then I'm free until we have to go back to home."

"Good, I want to explore London and you have to take me. Just us,"

"Of course, baby."

The streets of London are alive as we make the short walk back to the hotel. I walk close to Cole, afraid that the crowd might sweep me away. I was used to it, living in New York for 6 years helping me. I laugh as a small group of teenagers start running in between us, making us split. Cole growled beside me and grabbed my hand again, pulling me back to him.

"Watch it,"

"Sorry, sir!" They called as they ran away.

Cole rolled his eyes at the kids. I patted his chest and giggled, "They're just kids, no more than 16. Calm down."

"I feel bad for my dad if I ever acted like that." He grumbled and lead us down another street that had less people.

"Speaking of your father, have you talked to him?"

"Not for a while, busy with work, I suppose. Last I heard from him, he was also busy with work. The shop is thriving,"

"Perhaps we should visit. I haven't seen my parents since I moved out here and I bet April is missing me dearly."

"I doubt it, she's probably busy breaking hearts right now. She was a bossy little thing if I can remember correctly."

"Was she ever. She definitely knows what she wants. I miss her, my mom too. Even my dad, who I'm sure was pissed to find all those empty vodka bottles under my bed when they cleaned my room out." I smile to myself and lean against Cole's shoulder as we walk.
