I know I should probably be updating my other books right now but I've had this thought for the last few days and it won't get out of my head. That thought being another bonus for Cole and Racheal. Everyone knows that their relationship started way back in highschool and carried onto their adulthood. Even in Theodore and Dallas's books, I never went into detail about Racheal and Cole's relationship.

I wanted to go back in time and give you a taste of what they were like in highschool. I think it'll be fun. So without further adieu.

Cole's P.O.V

Senior year, the night before Cole leaves for Chicago

I hoist the the window to her bedroom open and try to not fall backwards off the firescape. My mother would not be happy if her future heir to the cmpany suddenly broke his leg the night before he was supposed to leave. You know, maybe a broken leg wouldn't be so bad. As I contemplated the height I'd have to fall, two arms wrapped around my neck and pulled me in.

I landed in a pile on the floor as her melodious laugh filtered through the air quietly. I forced back my smile and instead sent her a playful glare. She continued laughing, rolling her eyes in the process before helping me up.

"You know, we wouldn't have to sneak around at my house." I said, standing on my feet. "That means no one would get hurt by neary falling off the fire escape."

"But going to your house would mean that I'd have to sneak out and a person as clumbsy as me cannot sneak out of her own house."

"With a little practice, you could be just as good as I am."

"Too bad you're leaving me tomorrow." She said, losing her humor. Her lack of smile caused me to feel bad.

"If it was up to me I'd stay here with my dad, you know I would."

"I know, it just sucks." She sighed and flopped down on her small bed. The way her red hair fell around the pillow had me nearly hypnotized. Racheal was so beautiful, I just wish she knew that so I didn't have to remind her all the time. I wasn't complaining though because just telling her that she was cute set a deep blush on her face. I took a seat on the rug beside her bed, leaning back on my hands and watching her.

"What time do you leave?"

"Seven in the morning which is," I checked the time on my phone. "Five hours from now." My answer caused her to sit up abruptly. I held back a smile as she scrambled to push the small tufts of hair out of her face.

"You should be back home in bed. You're going to be exhausted." Her caring nature was one of the reasons I loved her. We'd known each since seventh grade and since then she'd grown on me to the point that I'd fallen in love with her. Even through all of her phases and friend groups she went through, she never lost her kind attitude. That was something I couldn't say for half of the girls in our graduating class.

"It's worth it if I get to spend my last night hanging out with you."

"You wouldn't rather be hanging out with Dallas or Theo?" A blush settles on her cheeks. I brushed off her question with a shrug.

"Of course not. They aren't as cool as you anyway."

"Oh, sure. It's just that they're busy, isn't it?" She said with a condecending tone, arching a brow with a small smirk. Of course, I wasn't going to tell her that I blew them off to hang out with her, that's just too cheesy. What I was going to do, though, was pretend like she was right.
