A low groan rips out of my throat as another wave of contractions run through my body. The doctor finishes timing the separations of the contractions and reaches for my gown to check the dilation of my cervix.

"No more than a few more hours now," She says and lowers my gown to write something down on her clipboard. "Call one of the nurses if the contractions speeds up." She smiles before exiting to room.

Sweat trickles down my forehead and I close my eyes and try to cool myself down. "I need my mom right now." I demand and force my eyes open to look at Cole. I was severely grateful that my mom, dad and April had decided to stay in a hotel nearby because I needed her right now.

"She should be here in a few minutes, baby."

"And Hailey, Sydney and Paige. I need them, too."

"They are being put on the next flight over here. The soonest they could be here is tonight maybe tomorrow morning." He frowns and starts to wipe away the sweat on my forehead. I rip the cloth away from him, mumbling that I could do it myself but instantly feel bad for snapping at him.

"Sorry."

He cracks a grin and leans back in his seat. "Don't be. You're in this position because of me."

"Don't look all smug," I scold and lay the cloth over my eyes. "I bet you're very proud of yourself, aren't you? To see me so pregnant."

"Who wouldn't be," I could hear the smirk in his tone and I wanted to smack it. I heard the door being pushed open and in walked my mother with a determined look on her face.

"Ah, my precious baby." She crooned and rushed me into a hug. "Your husband should be glad I didn't rip the door off the apartment and demand to stay with you." She said with a grin and pulled Cole into a hug as well. "We can talk about that situation later. Right now we need to take care of you."

She immediately jumps into action and starts doing things around the hospital room but I'm in too much pain to even realize. It wasn't until a cool breeze was being blown over me that I realized that she opened the window to let in the cool winter air.

She came back over to me and placed her hand under my back and pushed in a pillow. Instantly there was a bit of pressure relieved from my back which made the sharp ache in my stomach relax slightly. And I mean slightly. But that made one heck of a difference.

"Have you been timing the contractions?" She asked, looking over to Cole who immediately nodded.

"They've been ten minutes apart, roughly." He answered and reached over to grab my hand which I moved away from his grasp. I really didn't want to be touched right now, I just wanted this baby out of me.

My mother gave Cole a knowing grin and responded, "Don't take it personally, hon. She may seem like she hates you and that's because right now she does but believe me when she's not in pain anymore, she'll be all over you- well, the baby." She turned her attention back to me and grabbed the wet cloth from me and walking to the bathroom about how it wasn't cool enough.

I turned to Cole and reached for his hand, "Sorry for being a bitch-," Right when I said that another wave of contractions rippled through me which led me to squeeze the life out of Cole's hand as I waited for the pain to pass. I heard him hiss in pain but I didn't care because he was definitely not feeling the type of pain I was.

"I'm going to get the nurse. She needs and epidural immediately." As my mom was walking out the door I stopped her.

"No, I don't want any of that, I want to do this all natural." I replied through groans of pain. She gave me a look that seemed to question my sanity. I wanted to stand my ground and do this how I wanted to but with another wave of pain going through me, I quickly nodded at my mother and she smiled before scurrying off to find a nurse.
