  Getting up early on monday morning i immediately ran into the bathroom heading for the sink.
I was feeling nauseous and ended up throwing up what i had eaten last night.
Carefully brushing my teeth i immediately got into the bathroom to get a warm bath.
The water felt warm against my skin and the smell of the  coconut bathing soap i was using fluttered through my nose.

   ' Morning mum"
Morning my dear, how are you feeling my dear?
Am much better mum, am just feeling hungry i replied taking a seat.
You're just in time i'll serve you some food. She said helping me with some immediately.
The oats tasted good so i ate an extra plate.
So Mahi we didn't get to play that video cd last time. How about we all watch it tonight when varun and his family are here" suggested mum pouring me a glass of orange juice.
Ooh i almost forgot i got to go to the supermarket today.
'I would like to come along mum"
No dear you stay home and rest i will tell pintu to accompany me.
'Ok mum"

Carefully arranging the pile of ironed clothes in the closet i decided to clean the photographs as well as change the bed linings. Feeling exhausted after cleaning i decided to have a quick shower before heading to the garden to go sit and chat with aunt Bani.
I met her busy talking to someone on the phone and it looked like she was totally offended as she kept on shouting. Finally cutting the call she took a sip from her tea and tried to smile abit.
"Hi there Sahiba. How are you my dear?
"Am fine aunt, what about you?
'Am much better, just teaching some rascal not to toy with me"
Just as we were busy talking, i saw Mahi drive out and i immediately drove out following her.
'Roni please follow her and please drive fast"
After taking several turns she eventually stopped in front of an abandoned building.
Carefully getting out she slowly looked round to make sure no one was watching her before getting in.
You stay here Roni i'll be back i replied.
Walking into the abandoned building i quickly spotted her again with that same karan. Hiding behind the entrance i strained my ears to listen to what they were talking.
You tried to get in again didn't you karan? Asked Mahi pacing back and forth.
And how can i leave you all by yourself especially now you're carrying my 'CHILD" shouted karan .
It's not yours karan. It's mine.and i will raise him on my own. Just stay away from me and my unborn child.
'No Mahi i won't do that. Just marry me and all this will be over"
Marry you? How can you say such a thing to my face karan? You know am a person of high class and i do not mingle with low class people.
Look here's some money just get away from me. Shouted Mahi as she tossed some money at his face. Turning back to walk away she was suddenly pulled back by karan.
Hey, leave me alone karan. Leave me.
Now we're going home and you're going to confess all your sins to everyone. Am tired of pretending and i can't watch you get married to someone else. Shouted karan dragging her out forcefully as he made for her car.
Hearing their footsteps i immediately ran to my car and shut the door immediately. "Take me home please"
'Yes mam"

Getting home i immediately ran upstairs heading for my room. Firmly locking the door i sat down to think about all that had transpired today.
I decided to call Mahi but her phone wasn't going.
You look disturbed what seems to be the matter? Asked kunj who noticed my uneasy behaviour.
No am fine it's just that Mahi. .....
Thinking about what i was trying to disclose to kunj i eventually made up my mind to keep quiet than cause more trouble it would be better if Mahi told them the truth herself.
Mahi what? Asked kunj still staring at me .
What i mean to say is that am worried about Mahi condition. I finally said without meeting his gaze.
Excuse me now, i have to go to the kitchen. I said heading out immediately.

Mum what are we celebrating tonight that you've prepared a lot of food?
Ooh my dear Sahiba the Patels are coming over tonight to see Mahi. So i've prepared all this for everyone. We're also watching Mahi childhood videos. Said mum smiling.
Look they're here already shouted mum as she dashed out of the kitchen to go invite them to sit down.

"Ooh thank you Deveeka said lakshmi taking her seat close to her husband.
I don't see my daughter in law around here, where is she Deveeka? Asked mr Nandu.
Ooh she's upstairs probably getting ready she'll be here anyminute. Said mum smiling.
Ooh thank you my dear. Such a beautiful girl said Mrs lakshmi the moment she received the cup of tea from me.
Yes. She's kunj wife Sahiba. Said mum teasingly.
She is a goddess herself. So endowed with a lot of beauty said Mr Nandu. Bless you my dear, may you always be happy said mum the moment she received her own cup of tea.
A minute later the whole family we're all downstairs waiting for Mahi to come down.
Standing up i immediately dashed to my room trying to call Mahi again.

Cutting the call i immediately ran to mums room to go get the cd. Opening the closet i found two identical video tapes so i decided to try both to know which was the right tape.
Mum today i've made a huge mistake. I let you down mum. I know i've always proven to be a good daughter, but mum please hear me out. You can hate me after hearing this but mum don't shut me out of your life.
'Mum am pregnant".
Pausing the video tape i immediately brought the cd out.
Mum can't hear about this in front of the patels. It's best she hears it alone. Quickly putting the cd back i existed the room with the other cd.
Getting downstairs i could see Mahi sitted with karan in the sitting room.
So karan you know Mahi? Asked mum serving him some sweets.
Yes Mrs Deveeka replied karan who was trying to conceal his uneasiness with a smile.
Mum here's the cd.
Mahi on seeing the video tape immediately got up feeling scared.
Mum do you think it's necessary to watch this here? Asked Mahi still feeling scared.
Yes dear. Just sit down and have some sweets.
I had my eyes on mahi and karan who were busy lost in their thoughts about what the family members were about to see.

My body began to tremble at seeing the video tape. Ooh no why didn't i think about this earlier. Now everyone is going to know about it.
Closing my eyes i decided to pray a short prayer in my mind and felt relieved when i heared everyone laughing. Opening my eyes i was relieved it wasn't the video tape.

I decided to destroy the video tape after giving it a second thought. Today i found out that varun is karan eldest brother and i would be living in the same house with karan.
Carefully closing the door behind me i quickly opened mum's closet and found the tape.
'I knew you were trying to hide something from me mahi"  said Sahiba startling me immediately.
'So it's true you're pregnant Mahi".
How could you, did you ever think about mum for once or dad. They really love you. Why did you do this?
"It was all a mistake Sahiba. I dont know what came over me. It all just happened. I should be blamed for all my mistakes'. I said as tears began to escape down my chin.
"It's alright Mahi. You need to be strong for yourself and your child. It might be tough but you've got to tell mum about this. You can't keep it a secret forever cause soon it will be visible to everyone else'
The noise coming from downstairs caught our attention as we raced downstairs where we met karan and Varun in a heated argument. Mum was sitted on the big couch sobbing while uncle Mahal and father inlaw were trying to put an end to their disagreement.
'She's mine already karan"
"No she's mine varun, Mahi herself has something to say to you all. Come on Mahi tell them" said karan dragging her forward.
She keeps quiet for a while as everyone get anxious to hear what she's trying to say.
"The thing is that.... you know i wanted to tell you guys that.....
"She's in love with varun' i immediately completed the sentence for her.
'Everyone faces me with a questioning look and starts laughing again.
"What do you mean Sahiba. This two are fighting over her, so you can't be sure who truly loves her. Come on Mahi tell us what you want to say" asked aunty Bani.
Mahi moving forward to where her mum was sitted knelt in front of her.
"Mum remember i had always obeyed you and i had always being a good girl. Mum please find it in your heart to forgive me for what am about to say'.
'What are you saying my dear. Am your mother and i won't hate my child.
Tell me are you inlove with karan? Asked mum crying.
'Yes"
At hearing that mum immediately slapped me on my face.
  ' Not only that mum, am pregnant also with his child"
  She slaps me twice again and gets up angrily.
  " You what have i not done for you. How do you repay me? With bringing shame into my family. Huh? Tell me Mahi. Am i a bad mother. Was i wrong in sending you to London. So all this time you were lying to my face'. Cried mum as she slowly took her seat.
"Get out i don't want to see your face again' shouted mum as she got up angrily dragging Mahi out of the house.
'STOP!! Shouted karan dragging Mahi to his side.
"Now listen everyone of you. No one is leaving this house and no one can tell Mahi when to stay or leave her own house.
She's my responsibility now and no one has a say in this not even you brother"
Come on Mahi let us go from here. Said karan as they both left the house.
Soon everyone started leaving and it was just mum and i in the leaving room.
How could she? This can't be happening someone please wake me up wept mum still crying.
'Mum please stop crying" i begged dragging her immediately into my arms as i was weeping also.
"It's all going to be fine, just have faith in god'.

Wow. Finally the truth has being revealed to everyone.
