Pizza for Mid night dinner

I park the car outside Caleb's house and turn to Kage who is sitting in the passenger seat, looking at the empty dark street in front of us, lit up by the shinning full moon. The view is so peacefully quiet that your own heartbeat can be heard.

"So.... What's the plan?" I ask Kage who seems to be deep in his thoughts.

"What? Yeah... Um... Nothing. You are simply going to ask him why did I bleed." Kage replies with enthusiasm.

"Wow. Seems like an amazing plan. I'll go up, knock on his door, ask him why my invisible ghost friend is bleeding and he'll tell me exactly what you want to hear." I throw sarcasm on his face.

We both stand in front of Caleb's front door and knock twice. Some funny TV show can be heard and some people laughing. No actually two people laughing. Before I could interpreted whose voice is that, we hear a girl walking towards the door and says, "Pause that scene, I'll pick up the pizza." Followed by a boy saying, "Yeah, I'll grab my wallet." And the door swings open with Anna in her blue 4XL 'No nonsense' T-shirt which hangs loosely over her body making it an off shoulder top reaching to her knees. It looks like a witch has cast a spell for us to freeze in our spot with our eyes scanning each other. I have no idea how many seconds or maybe minutes passes us staring at each other like this when suddenly we are interrupted with Caleb's voice. He comes out of his room in his black boxers and black T-shirt which reads 'Try me' and his wallet in his hands asking, "What's the total, Anna?" And that's when he realizes that it's not pizza but a bomb packed under this red T-shirt and jeans aka Me.

As we sit on that couch across Anna and Caleb I wonder how long this night already seems. This awkward silence is slowly and silently eating us all up.

"So... I would've asked what you are doing here at this hour, but... You can ask me the same question so, I guess it's better we don't ask such questions to each other." Anna says breaking the invisible shield of awkwardness.

"I'll go first. My and Anna's parents are currently at a neighborhood party especially arranged for parents of the area to discuss some parking sort of issues." Caleb explains.

Did I mention that Anna and Caleb are neighbours? Taking this fact under consideration, we shouldn't be shocked this much but....

Anna continues Caleb's explanation, "I needed pizza delivery guy's number so Caleb offered me to stay as he was already ordering for himself...."

Still doesn't explain the paused F.R.I.E.N.D.S 5th season.

"Yeah so, we ordered pizza" Caleb elaborates.
"Coco was sleeping" Anna says with an innocent smile on her face.

Coco is Anna's younger brother.
There is one thing about Anna, she never lies. She might hide the whole truth, twist it, find loop holes but will never lie, no matter how bad the situation may be.

"Now, may I ask why are you here, Tori?" Anna says with a raised eyebrow.

"Uh yeah... I wanted to ask how was your hand?" I ask Caleb gesturing to his stitches.

"Oh, it's much better now. You did a good job. But, you didn't have to come all the way to ask me this, could've texted.." Caleb offers his kindness.
"Um, do you mind if I ask about you liking the peanut butter cookies?" He asks with questioning eyes.

I look at Anna with a dead stare wondering how much she has told him already. "Oh yes about that. I love peanut butter, but seems like they don't love me. I'm a bit allergic to it" I reply in the politest way possible.
The door bell rings sparing us from more awkward conversations and Caleb goes to answer the door, promising that it has to be pizza delivery this time or else he's cancelling the order.

As soon as Caleb leaves, Anna jumps up and sits next to me. "Why the hell are you here?" She whispers which might be the world's loudest whisper.

"Kage wanted to know what's their connection." I Explain Anna, hoping she can understand my situation.

"Unless that douche bag is so clueless that he doesn't even know what his own existence mean" Kage says frustrated with the situation.

"Excuse me, did someone say douche bag?" Caleb asks with 2 large pizza boxes in his hands which smells like heaven.

Suddenly I'm too hungry as mom's pasta wasn't as filling.

"Can he hear me?" Kage asks Caleb standing up from the couch.

"Yeah dude, I can hear you. Is this some kind of a prank? Have you brought someone with you, Tori?" Caleb says keeping the pizza boxes on the counter and faces us.

How is Caleb able to hear Kage but not see him? What is their connection?
