Aidan's POV
Holy shit! Why the hell did I drink so much? I tried to flicker my eyes open a few times before I had to squint from the bright lights, my vision was blurred. The sound of a few more groans from beside me and the weight of something heavy over my chest felt like it almost suffocating me. A clinking of metal also rung through my ears as I tried to move my arms. What the fuck is that?
"Thank fuck you've stopped snoring! How the hell does Georgie sleep next to that noise?" Jace's muffled and groaning voice scared the crap out of me as it was so close to my ear it was like he was shouting at me. I couldn't move and neither did he and in a way I'm relieved to know that it's my brother that's wrapped around me. If only I remembered how exactly we got into this position.
"But you're really comfortable." he mumbled and then I felt his head move and something wet drip down my chest. I squeezed my eyes shut, now that's gross.
"Did you just dribble on me?" I groaned as I tried to move my arms to push him off me, but my whole body felt like it was held down by lead weights. He let out another grunt and then moved but it just felt like I was going with him. There was pinching on my left wrist and it was being tugged as he moved. My eyes flew open more and looked to what was causing me pain, hell that hurts.
"You loved it." he laughed and then complete rolled off and that's when I noticed that we were cuffed together. What the hell? I moved my head slowly to turn to look at my big brother and he was laying on top of the covers shirtless with his jeans barely covering his groin. The names of his three daughters tattooed down the side of his ribs, my finger instantly tracing over the place where Callie's name is tattooed on my ring finger. Callie and I both got each other's names tattooed on the spot our wedding bands rested, it was something we wanted to have if our rings were off, we'd still have something there.
"Don't you think it's time to take that ring off?" Jace spoke softly as I twirled the platinum band around my finger. It's been there for so long now, it just feels normal to have it on. I never thought about what Georgie would been feeling about seeing it there, and then when I do take it off. Callie's name is still there. Five years this ring has never been taken off, I know I should, it's not fair for Georgie to see everyday. It's her seeing what's underneath it may hurt even more, that is something that I just can't rub off instantly.
"Yes, isn't it about time you put one on yourself and Tahni?" I shot back and when I did he snorted and let out a chuckle. I've always wondered why he hasn't done anything about making Tahni a Taylor.
"You sound like mum." he laughed and then sighed, he rolled back over onto his side and faced my way, his left hand picking up my left hand, the one that was attached to his right and he gazed at the ring on my finger. It's just about stuck and it does hurt when I try to remove it.
"I've had Tee's engagement ring hidden in a shoe box for almost six years, everytime I felt like it was the right time, something happened. I don't think I can do it now, not after last night." I frowned at his words, my mind was going over time as to why he would say it was too late. I should never drink, I never remember what happens and that is never a good thing, specially when you wake up handcuffed to your brother.
"Jace, you're probably over reacting, it wasn't that bad was it?" I said with a frown, nothing seems to be right at the moment and it does feel very strange whenever we go to mum and dad's. Jace reopened his eyes, they had a glass film over them and he looked like he was about to cry. I think this is more shocking than finding out that Nick is gay. Jace crying! I don't know what I could possibly say right now? The tears that built up in his eyes spilled over and he looks absolutely heartbroken.
