A Little Different *COMPLETE*

Chapter One

We Had To Start Somewhere

The Kriyu's had always been a proud and respected line of purebloods. Attractive and yet not to be interacted with. At least that's what Kaname had told Yuki after meeting the brothers that one night. But as Yuki looked over at the older Kriyu, Zero. She didn't really see the danger.

Yes there was that stare that he would give Kaname every now and then, but, she couldn't help but lose herself in the sea of blurred lavender. "I would like to join the Guardians. Chairman." He spoke as he sat on a chair across from the Chairmans desk.

"Excuse me?!" Kaname asked with some sort of a laugh.

Zero did not bother to look at Kaname. "I gain nothing from the classes I attend. My fellow vampires respond to my brother more. And I could be a helpful hand when the school may be intruded by a Level E."

"He has a point." The Chairman waved a hand in his face from the steam emitting from his tea cup.

"This is a joke! Yuki tell the Chairman how absurd that request is!" Kaname bore daggers at Zero but quickly realized Yuki was in her own world. "Yuki!"

"Huh?" Yuki stared up at her brother. Her long hair moving to the side as she made such movement. "Oh. Well... I wouldn't mind having Zero as a co-gaurdian. Plus you'd still be head guardian. And Zeros right, we would have an advantage. I don't see a problem." Yuki looked back at Zero with a smile and back to Kaname.

As Kaname argued with Yuki and the Chairman, Zero had noticed Yukis hair shift. Though he only stare for a minute, it had felt like hours. Zero cleared his throat. "Well." He stood and noise stopped. "I will leave you to it. Goodbye, Yuki." Zero left with the same dead expression as always.
He noticed Yuki become flustered at his sudden attention to her. He had never known why, but he had been drawn to her since the day they met. As he turned the corner he met his eyes with his brother. Unlike Zero, he had his hair tied in a small pony tail with whisps of silver tickling his forehead. And his Night Class uniform worn properly.

"Did you talk to her? I know you're fond of her." Ichiru smirked as he teased his brother.

"Shut up."

Kaname and Yuki stood at the gate of the night class as it swung open with a slow creak and the screams of Day Class girls. Yuki, struggling with the Day Class while Kaname just stood there with an annoyed look. Zero walked past Yuki with a hello.
"Ah. Hi Zero!" She said with a pained smile as she held back the day class girls.

"You know hes only using you to get your blood right?" Kaname finally spoke as they stood on top of a balcony over looking the campus.

Yuki scoffed. "He is not! What's it to you anyway?!" She huffed with her hands in fists.

"Because! You're my little sister!"

"That doesn't make you my father!" Yuki stomped away and jumped off the balcony.

"Yuki!" Kaname said in a worried tone as he hurried to the edge.

"There's a tree right here! I'm fine! God!" Yukis hair flipped in the wind as she stormed off. She rubbed her hand at the small scratches the tree branch had left her.

"Kuran."

She jumped at her name called from behind her. "Ah, Aidou! You scared me." She said with a sigh.

"You shouldn't be walking around like that." Aidou said with a taunting tone.

"Like wh- " Yuki blinked and stared down at the palm she held. It had started to bleed. She closed her eyes in defeat. Yuki let her arms drop.

"I was wondering if I might- " Aidou was punched in the face by the end of Yukis Artemis Rod.

"Being out here is not permitted until your classes are over Hanabusa." Yuki stood her ground as she focused on Aidous movement. He grasped at his cheek that still sizzled.

"How dare you!" He lunged at her.

"Aidou." A stern voice spoke out and Aidou immediately stopped in his tracks. He froze. "Lord Kriyu I- "

"Enough. Yuki has not protected our secret and bared the responsibilities of being a guardian here so you can just take her as a midnight juice box." Zero slapped Aidou upside the head. "Akatsuki. Do you plan to hide behind that tree till morning?"

Bright Orange hair, along with a night class uniform, peered from a tree behind Zero and Aidou with his head bowed. "Lord Kriyu... "

"I will take these two to Chairman Cross. Is that ok? Yuki?" Ichiru had asked as he held Aidou by the collar with a smile.

"Uh.. Ye- yeah."

Ichiru had left Zero and Yuki to be alone. "You're not hurt are you?" Zero reached for Yukis hand. She flinched back. Zero stared at her aburn eyes. "I'm sorry." Zero started to walk away.

"Zero." Yuki said with urgency. He looked back at her. "I look forward to being a guardian with you." She smiled. Zero closed his eyes and bowed to he slightly. And left. Leaving Yuki staring at Zeros silver hair moving ever so slightly in the wind. As her own hair flew in front of her.

A/N: I needed a break from my regular stories so I decided to make this story. I dont know how long it will be. Probably not long. But I came up with idea late one night and wrote it down. Hope you enjoy.
