Chapter Twenty-Seven

The Next Morning

       Zero walked down the halls, watching the moon go in and out of veiw of the windows. He stopped. 'How did I- ' He could remember how he got here. He looked infront of him to find Shizuka Hiou, standing there.
  "You always wanted to kill me." She smiled. Zeros eyes widened, staring down at her lifeless ones. "But now that you did..." Blood streaked from the top of her head, narrowing down her face. "Where will that desire go?" Her voice came in and out from her own to a familiar one.

  "Will it turn to the merciless instincts of a vampire?" Shizuka faded into Yuki. Her neck was covered in blood, along with her face and chest. Her throat seemed ripped out. "Zero..." her eyes started to close as tears seeped through. Her body started to fall.

  "N-no..." Zero leaped forward to catch her but his hands fell empty when he opened his eyes.
His vision came clear to his room, Zeros hand was stretched out. He grabbed his face. "Shit." He mumbled.

  "Bad dream, sweet heart?" Zero flicked his eyes up to see Asumi standing in his doorway.
  "Get out." Zero said.
  "I thought purebloods were supposed to be..." Asumis hands circled the air, trying to find his words. "...tranquil? Elegant?"
  "What gave you the gaul to come in here and insult me?" Zero got up from his bed. "Leave."
  "So. You heard about me and Yuki then." Asumi smiled. He felt a hand on his shoulder.
  "You're walking a fine line, newbie." Akatsuki pulled him away. "I dont want to know why. I just need you to leave."
  "Wow. You dont even need to call and your dogs come barking." Asumi laughed and walked away. Zero and Akatsuki exchanged looks before Zero stepped back inside his room.

Yuki and Yori walked along the path on their way back to class after lunch. Kaname slugged behind them "I'm gonna go check on the horses. I'll see you guys back at class." Kaname said.

  "Okay. See you!" Yuki waved.

  "Do you think hell marry that horse?" Sayori joked. Yuki started to laugh.

  "Disciplinary Committee!" A loud girl was heard. Chatter quickly died down. Yuki turned around, along with Yori. "Explain yourself!"

  "Kate, please dont..." another day class girl begged behind the loud one.

  "I'm sorry, you'll have to be more specific..." Yuki replied.

The student pointed at her. "Word has spread! Are you in a relationship with night class student Zero Kriyu?!" She seemed out of breath and almost on the brink of tears.

  "Um... yes?" Yuki shrugged, books in hand.

  "The gaul..." Kate bowed her head. "You manage to make friends with them, be around them as apart of your job, and you're dating one! And you dont even appreciate it!" She started to March toward Yuki.

  "Hey now- " Yuki stepped back. Kate smacked the books out of her hand.

  "Dont you think you're overreacting a bit, Kate?" Sayori said. Kaye grabbed Yuki by the collar.

  "Why you?! You're not even special! You think you're hot stuff because you're the Headmasters daughter?! Itll only take 2 seconds for that man to see how worthless you are!"

Silence broke out in the crowd. Yuki slowly reached up to the girls arms. She fully intended to brake her wrists or something, until she heard the day class start to scream. "Yuki!" Aidou yelled out. "Have you missed us?!" He held out his hand.
