Chapter Thirty-Five

The Death Of a Princess

     Silver bats twisted into the ground and back up, Revealing a very displeased Zero. He stood infront of his family home and his fists clenched hard enough to pierce his own skin. He could smell Yukis scent stronger than before. He stood at the double doors and attempted to open them. They were locked. 'He locked the damn door?'Zero thought. First he steals Yuki, harms her in his own family home, and now he locked the door? Like it was supposed to do something? Well it did, it pissed Zero off. "Come on then..." Zero mumbled. "...let's begin." The door cracked on its sides. In a moment it bursted into pieces and he stepped into his home.

This was the first time in 4 years hes seen his family home. He could still hear his parents screams for eachother. He looked up to the balcony that looked over the entrance. He could see the double doors that lead to his fathers office. "So..." His eyes snapped to Asumi, who was standing in the dining room entrance. "...you've finally realized." He said. Unafraid to show his cocky expression. Zero stepped forward and Asumi disappeared. "For years I've been training to battle vampires like you..." Zero looked up at the balcony where Asumi was lain across. "...So, dont go expecting to wipe me out and swoop in to save the girl. After all, shes mine." Asumi smiled. Zero scoffed.
     "Trained? Give me a break." Zero said.
     "Ah, there it is... that pureblood arrogance." He hopped down. "Theres no one with you, so you've acted alone I assume." Zero gave no answer.
     "Where is she?" Zero grunted.
     "Aw, we cant have a talk?" Asumi pouted. The ground cracked beneath Asumi. "Ah. Ah. This house is so old..." he flipped in the air, dodging propelled pieces of rubble. He landed closer to Zero. "...If you harm it like that, it might just crush her under all the pressure." He smirked. Zero sighed and placed his hand on his face.
     "With Yuki, I really believed vampires and humans might have a chance to live together one day. But there will always be trash like you, tarnishing the light that humans like Yuki emit." Zeros eyes flashed red and Asumi was sent back flying. He crashed against the wall and started to laugh as he coughed up blood.
       "Nice speech." He said through his laughter. "One question though..." Zero walked toward him. "Who the hell is Yuki?" Zeros eyes narrowed and blew out Asumi shoulder.
       "You're really starting to piss me off." He grabbed onto his neck and threw Asumi across the room, flying him out of the house. Asumi skidded across the ground and rolled onto his back. He looked up to the cloud grey sky and started to laugh once more. "You really have lost it."
       "Lord Zero Kriyu..." He said sarcastically. "...Have you lost sight of which blood bag I took? If you cant even tell..." He started to get up. "...which one she is, then why bother going to the trouble?" He started to race toward Zero and he caught Asumi by the face.
       "What the hell..." He shoved Asumi into the ground by his head. "...are you talking about?" He brought Asumi back up by his hair.
       "You're a real piece of shit... Zero Kriyu. You've stolen every girls heart and crushed it. And even now... you cant even recognize the girl you're after?" Asumi spit on him. "You disgust me."
Zero slammed him onto the ground and stomped his foot onto Asumis back. "Where is she?!" He yelled. He stomped on his head. "I could burst you into flame right now."
     "Mrhph huauh" Asumi said against the ground. Zero knelt down and picked him up by his hair.
     "What?" He asked through his teeth. Asumi spit out dirt.
     "I said... go find her yourself if you're so worried about it." Asumi laughed. Zero punched him and grabbed him by the back of the collar. Dragging him in the house.
     "Trained for years huh? What a joke." He said, Zero threw Asumi against the wall. "The only reason you're not dead is because her scent is clouded. For all I know she could be somewhere else... so save yourself the agonizing death and tell me where she is." Zero walked over to Asumi and placed his foot on his chest. "Talk."
      "Your own family home deceives you." Asumi said. He smirked and grabbed Zeros ankle, digging into his leg. "You'll never lay a hand on Sara again, as long as I live." Asumis demeanor changed to a serious one. His leg kicked up sending Zero across the room.
       "Sara?" Zero said. His eyes widened as he rubbed his head.

'She took the fall for the whole situation'

Zero smirked. "Heh. You're nothing but a nut case." He stood up. "Intresting. So, Hashuria. Tell me what you did to Sara."
    "H- how do you know that name?!"
    "You went missing 3 years ago, let me guess. Shizuka Hiou promised you a life with your dream girl?"
    "Sh- shut up!" Asumis eyes widened.
    "Power and love? That woman sure got around." Zero walked over to Asumi. "You were nothing but a pawn in a purebloods game." He grabbed Asumi by thr throat and threw him into the dining room, Asumi landed onto the table and dust flew up in the air. "That girl you have, isnt Sara. Sara is dead, and you killed her." Zero was talking out of his ass at this point, but he could put the pieces together. Sara ended up being filed as missing as well, just a year after Asumi.
     "No! No! No!" Asumi cracked as he sat up."Stop lying! Shes here!" He ran toward Zero and Zero threw him into a hallway.
      "Shes in the ground!" Zero made a ball of purple flame and threw it at Asumi. "Where you put her!" He threw another. "You couldnt handle yourself could you?!" He picked Asumi up. "You're disgusting indulgences killed the girl you love and now you're living in this fantasy... killing another who doesnt even know you!" 
      "She loves me! Shes alive! I can prove it!" Asumi shouted.
      "Then prove it!" Zero yelled back.
      "Look in the basement! Shes lying right there... and shes mine for all time! You'll see!" Asumi started to cackle. Zero grunted and dragged him down to the basement where he opened the double doors. He threw Asumi down and watched in horror as he saw Yuki spread across a large slab of rubble, blood trickling off her hand and onto the ground. Her scent was strong and wafted in his face, practically wrapping around him. Zeros eyes turned red and the ground rumbled. "T-told you." Zero dropped Asumi and stomped on his head... reducing him to dust. He ran over to Yuki. "Garbage." He said. "Yuki!" He yelled. Zero scooped her face. "Yuki look at me!" She gave no response. "Yuki!"
