Couldnt Say

"No." Kaname said as they walked to Kaiens dorm.
  "No?" Yuki scoffed.
"No, you're not going to the Moon Dorm all ok your own. That's ridiculous." Kaname walked further away. Yuki caught up to him.
  "Kaname- "
"You asked." He stopped, and stared down at her. "I gave you an answer. If you want my permission then that's my answer."
Yuki scoffed and walked faster, away from him.

Later, Kaname and Yuki helped Kaien prepare dinner, the two stayed in silence. "Could you pass me the tomatoes?" Kaien asked as he spilled the chopped onions into the large pot. Both Kaname and Yuki reached for the fridge.
  "I got it." Kaname stated.
"Its fine, I'm closer." Yuki said through her teeth.
"You're busy with the noodles." Kaname argued.
"They're just boiling. I can get Headmaster the damn tomatoes."
"If you dont watch it, it might boil over and hurt someone." Kaname spat.
"I can trust the damn water, Kaname."
"Boiling water can be unpredictable, it might hurt someone if it gets too out of control."
"Enough!" Kaien slammed the flat of the knife on the counter. "Now I may be obtuse about teenagers and their interests but I can tell you're not talking about the water! What the hell has gotten into you both?" Yuki and Kaname blinked at Kaien, but was rare for him to even raise his voice, let alone even curse in the slightest.
"Its nothing." Yuki turned and opened the fridge, she grabbed the bag of tomatoes.

"She wants to go to the moon dorm alone. I told her it's not safe." Kaname blurted. Yuki stared at him in disbelief. He literally just snitched on her like a five year old.
"Why would you want to that? Is it for Kriyu? I dont mean to pry, but there are students talking about you both."
"He invited me. They're having a small party for Takuma and he wants to intoduce me..." Yuki clutched onto the bag of red fruit.
"They already know you, though?" Kaien smiled.
"Sounds like an idiotic excuse to trap you." Kaname sneared. Yuki sighed heavily and dropped the tomatoes on the counter.
"What has Zero ever done to you?!" She yelled.
"Now, Yuki ca- " Kaien raised his hand.
"Hes doesnt love you! He just using you!" Kaname yelled back.
  "How do you know?!"
"Kaname, dont yell at- " Kaien said.
"Stop acting like a stupid love sick kid!" Kaname slammed his hand on the counter. Yuki stared at Kaname and walked away. Soon after the door slammed.

"Lord Kriyu, not to intrude... but maybe shes not com- " Zero shot Aidou a look, easily telling him to shut up with out uttering a word.
"Its only 9, I'm sure its nothing..." Akatsuki got up from the couch and started walking away.
"Brother... this is ridiculous, we all know her. What are you trying to prove?" Ichiru put his hand on Zeros shoulder.
"One thing. I just want one normal thing for her. It's more of a human tradition..." Zero murmured. Ichiru sighed with a slight smile.
"Let them go back to their rooms, shell probably come la- "

Three large knocks echoed through the building. The door swung open and Seiren held out her arm, inviting the guest in. "Welcome, Kuran."

Zeros slight excitement was quickly snuffed out by Yukis obvious attempts to hide her anger. He walked over to her. "Hey." He said, quietly.
  "Hey." She smiled.
"Are you okay? Do you need time before I introduce you?" Zero hugged her and spoke lower.
"I'm fine." She said. Ichiru joined them and took Yukis hand.
"Its nice to meet you, Yuki. My brother has an... interesting taste." A winked and kissed the back of her hand. He walked away and Yuki had no idea what to think of what just happened. Zero sighed and stared at the back of his brothers head.
  "Really." Zero said.
"Hi, I'm Aidou Hanabusa." He kissed her hand and gently pulled away.
"Forgive me Yuki, this was partially my idea..." Takuma bowed to her.
"That makes more sense..." Yuki nervously laughed. Akatsuki stepped infront of Yuki and bowed. He nodded and stepped away.
"When Takuma heard about you two, he thought we should make you feel more comfortable being here. So, Hi. I guess..." Rima bowed slightly and Shiki followed.
  "Ruka..." Akatsuki pleaded.
"This is ridiculous." Ruka whispered, she folded her arms.
"Ruka, My brother would be a lot more pleased if everyone in- "
  "Ichiru." Zero spoke. "Its okay."

Later, after an awkward small party with the moon dorm residents, Zero and Yuki escaped to his dorm. She sat on his bed and stared out of the window. "Wont your brother be mad if you stay here so late?" Zero sat next to her.
"Let him be mad if he wants..." Yuki plainly answered. She glanced at the table side clock, it read '1:43am'.
"You seem... angry?" Zero didnt know what the right word was, she was rarely in negative moods, let alone angry ones.
"Its Kaname..." Yuki answered without looking away from the window. "...he has this... obsessive anger with you. It's so frustrating."
  "I understand."
"You havent heard what he says about y- "
"I meant I understand him." Zero interrupted. Yuki cocked her head to face him.
  "What?"
"I am a pureblood." He got closer to her face. "And the first thing that attracts me the most about you is an intoxicating scent that I cant seem to evade."
Yuki could feel her heart pound and she almost choked on nothing but her own spit.
"Th- that doesnt matter." She cleared her throat.
"For now, but either way..." Zero relaxed away from her and looked up at his ceiling.
"... I understand what hes so worried about. Our kind are such fleeting beings, one side just wants peace and the other cant decide if hunger or instinct is important. All the meanwhile, purebloods like that woman slip through the cracks and families like yours die."
"I know that." Yuki gripped on the side of the bed. Zero looked over at her distraught face. "But he doesnt have to be such a dick to you, just cause."
"You really care about this a lot, huh?" Zero smirked. Yuki didnt answer. "I think you should go back to him, and have a talk..."
  "Have you met my brother?"
"You have a point... but nonetheless, even Headmaster must be worried about now."
"You dont have to kick me out so quickly..." Yuki joked. Zero grabbed her chin and kissed her.
"Leaving is the last thing I'd want you to do, but I also dont want your brother breaking into the dorm a 4th time." Yuki shoved him lightly with a blush.
"Idiot." Yuki but her lip. "Could I stay for just a little longer?"
   "Yeah..."
