~Chapter 17~

———Error's POV———

We booked it back to base as everyone behind me did the same. We kept our identities hidden as we slipped through the crowds and the officers who were patrolling the area.

"That was a pretty good jailbreak which we could've almost gotten ourselves killed. Anyways, why did you need Fresh to come?" I asked. I never mentioned my relationship with Fresh to the others since I will literally die of embarrassment.

"Oh. Due to my sneaking and undercover work, I found out that he is somehow related to you. Didn't have time to find out but what is your connection with him?" Killer asked curiously as we entered our secret hideout.

"Nothing you need to know,"

"Come on Error!" Horror complained. He placed his axe beside the table and immediately sat down on the couch.

"I said no,"

"Fine. Whatever I don't care. What I do care is that we should stay undercover for a while since he whole state knows we've escaped," Nightmare said.

"Eyyy Nightmare! What's up with you and the transfer?" Reaper spoke smugly as he floated in the air.

"Nothing's up with me and him,"

"Aw. You called him sweetie. I never knew a goopy skeleton had feelings~" Reaper continued to tease Nightmare. I was stifling my laugh with my hands over my mouth. Dust and Horror completely lost it and Killer was confused and....disappointed?

"Shut it before I snap your bones like twigs," It was clear Nightmare's threats weren't working as Reaper was smiling at his threats.

"Pfttt. You never denied that you like him," I broke down into a laughing fit. Gosh this is hilarious.

"You're all so fucking dead!"

———Ink's POV———

"You're telling me they all escaped?!" I couldn't believe what had happened. The three main criminals all escaped! That's all our hard work gone to waste.

"Ink calm down! We'll find another way!" Dream was trying his best to calm me down. Some of the doctors from the nearby hospital came over to tend to the wounds of the police wardens and officers. We were so close. So close.

I sat myself down in my office and buried my head in frustration. Before Dream could speak any further, Geno and Cross came barging into the office.

"What is it?" I asked.

"You do not believe what we just saw," Cross spoke. He seemed relieved which meant it was good news. Geno slammed the computer on my desk and rewinded a camera footage. And I couldn't believe what I saw.

It was them. They ran into the lab as two of them looked around to see for any witnesses. Soon they headed inside where they disappeared into the lab.

"Oh my god finally! Get some of the military in Squadron B to come along with us. I think they'll put up a good fight," I ordered. The smiles of my co-workers seemed to widen as they all rushed out. Blue came walking in with two cups of coffee.

"What did I miss?"

"The best thing you ever seen,"

The military that was sent consisted of ten experienced soldiers. That was all we needed since these criminals are not complete psychopathic killers. We arrived at the lab and Blue went in to speak with the staff there.

After ten minutes he came running out saying that there is an abandoned place in the lab which they suppose they might be hiding in. I smiled in response as we made our way through.

As I was going to open the door, Cross pushed past me and said, "wait,". I stood still as he slammed the door open.

"SURPRISE MOTHER FUCKERS!!"

It was so loud it clearly made the criminals there jump in surprise. I even held my laugh as Horror fell off the couch and face planted onto the metal floor, making a huge noise. Dust dropped his plate and held his hands in the air, while the plate shattered. Error suddenly woke up from his sleep, Killer copied Dust and Nightmare just stared.

"How the f-," Dust couldn't finish his sentence as the soldiers marched in. Everything was going to plan. There were no flaws in our plan and we finally did it. We've finally caught them.

Well....

That's what we thought.

I looked through the cameras which one of my co-workers hacked for me. It showed a live feed of what was currently happening in the lab. I saw my son in there and I almost slipped out a tear. 24 years I've left him. I don't even know how he'll react into seeing me again. Probably hate but I wanted the best for myself.

I continued to watch the feed until a figure wearing black and white slammed the door open, as soldiers marched into the room. I grinned as I pulled the intercom.

"Ok you can send them in,"

Not moments later did my men started to barge into the door, causing a distraction. I could see the 5 officers trying to make their way to my son and his gang as the soldiers defended my men. I growled in response as I snatched my phone and texted him.

I look through the feed to see him fishing out his phone before hesitating a little. Then he quietly motioned the others to follow him as a few of my men got past the soldiers and distracted the main officer, causing a chain reaction.

I texted him once more as I set the tablet down.

???:
Once your outside, there will be a white Mercedes Benz waiting for you. I'll take you to my holiday home where we will be discussing some things, son.

???:
Sure. But I won't treat you like a dad until you explain why you left

I sat back on the recliner as I thought of the ways I could speak. I should also get his brother to come along if they still stay in touch. I mentally sighed as I close my eyes into a deep sleep.
