Avery: So, what are you?

He rubbed his face: Take a guess

Avery: You're very strong.. From the way you fought you must be of the highest calibers, and you might have the ability to manipulate minds and feelings

Archer: Do tell..

Avery: The way you handled everyone at the base..

Archer: Do you doubt my charm?

She gave him a bored look

He responded by stalking closer to her

Her eyes began to change while she backed up

Archer: Nu-uh, remember the mirror I'm carrying. You're not fast enough

She grimaced and started morphing into a gragoyle

He just calmly held her wrist, caressing it

Archer: I won't hurt you, relax

His other hand reached to her face

Archer: Open your eyes

His tone was so calming and reassuring, she couldn't help but comply

His gaze was very heated and intense while he tucked a stray lock of hair behind her ear. She blushed a little

He gave a light chuckle: Thought so

She scowled and before she could hit him he'd moved back

Archer: So, then what do you think I am?

She looked him straight in the eyes, challenging: I might have thought you're a vampire, but you give off a different vibe, it was you friend that gave me a hint actually

Archer furrowed his brows: Crystal?  But she never gives a straight answer, not to prisoners at least

Avery: It was the way she acted, looked and talked. You're shifters aren't you? Not just any kind, dragon shifters. And with your colouring, your hair is golden, which means you're royalty. Only the king or queen of dragons is of this colour. And your friend, with eyes like hers, she can only be an ice dragon, with a high rank most likely

He looked uncomfortable: You're right.. Except I don't rule. I answer to my king, still, and Crystal is a noble. Gargoyles always have good protective instincts, and you're smart. They should have listened to you when you tried to warn them

She lowered her head: Why are you doing this? Why are you siding with the pure bloods. Dragon shifters are hybrids essentially, you just kept breeding within your circle later on to keep being your own society

Archer: It doesn't concern you..

Avery: What do you call this then, it does concern me! With your species as our ally, we would stand a higher chance at winning

Archer: It doesn't matter. They would not

Avery: What about you?

Archer: I've infiltrated your base and brought your defeat and you still ask? I stand by my ruler

Avery: Even if what the pure bloods are doing is wrong? Hybrids and humans are either enslaved or killed!

Archer: What I think does not matter, it is not my decision

Avery: But you're their future monarch

He punched the wall, denting it, for it was metal, and a golden aura blazed around him. He hissed: Drop it

So she did. As he left her alone, she resolved to try again. She was certain he wasn't entirely on board with what the pure bloods were doing
