Amelia: Archer!

She went and hugged her son

Amelia: What are you doing here?

Archer: Can't a guy visit his mom?

Amelia: You know what I mean

Archer: I'll just be here for a little while

Amelia sighed

Archer: What were you doing, telling her all that..

Amelia: I wanted her to understand a few things, so I had to explain

Archer: You know if anyone heard you..

Amelia: I'm sure no one did

It was her turn to sigh

He turned towards Avery, who looked very curious, but he didn't allow her a chance to ask anything

Archer: Don't ever antagonize any of the dragons, or anyone else. You got this close to getting yourself killed - he gestured with his fingers -. Remember that none of us can help you now, so help yourself, try being a bit more complacent

She glared

He whispered: Please..

At seeing his expression, she relented a bit and nodded

He sighed: And keep your guard up, Jaera can't abide losing. She might try to retaliate, and she's his majesty's favourite daughter of Medusa

Avery: Are you afraid I can't take her?

Archer shook his head: I've seen you fight, but she will not play fair, bare that in mind

She nodded

He turned to Amelia: I'll see you soon, mother. Don't keep her here too long or they'll get suspicious

She smiled and nodded

Amelia: Well then, I think we're about finished

She was treating her the whole time she was talking

Amelia: Just wait for Lily to come back so you can leave with her

Avery nodded: Thanks..

A few minutes later Lily returned

Lily: Sorry I was late. One of the herbs was hard to find

Amelia: Sorry..

Lily: Oh, no! It's fine. Come Avery, or we'll be late!

Avery nodded and excused herself

Amelia sighed: I hope she helps..

After a small meal, in which almost everyone ignored Avery and only briefly glanced at her, she went to bed and instantly collapsed

Lily had kept her company the whole time since their return from Amelia's infirmary. Avery was grateful to her, but after the day she had, keeping up with Lily's vibrancy and constant chatter became taxing

She was relieved to find herself in a room of her own, even if it was very small

The next say Avery was awoken rather rudely by Margret, one of the older daughters of Meddusa. She was in her mid thirties

Margret: Get up!

Avery rubbed her eyes: What time is it?

Margret: It's 6 am. Get up and get dressed

She threw an outfit at her

Avery frowned

Margret: Get up, you don't want to be late. And neither do I

Avery got up: Where are we going?

Margret: It's time for your training session with Jaera

Avery snarled

When they reached the training arena, Jaera was waiting

Jaera: Took you long enough

Avery: After taking that Griffin out, I need the rest, unlike someone who didn't even fight it

Margret blanched

Jaera snarled: Maybe you're just not strong enough to continue?

Avery: We'll see about that, won't we?
