Eighteen Years Later...

"Go home, sweetheart. You don't belong here!" One of the bikers said, laughing in my face. I rolled my eyes and pulled a stack of money out of my pocket, slamming it down in front of him.

"You see I'm good for it. Unless...you're afraid that I might beat you." I challenged him. Him and his friends started laughing once again, as he took a sip of his beer.

"I'd hate to have to take all your money, sweetheart."

"Stop calling me sweetheart!" I snapped. "Do we have a deal or not?" He chuckled and nodded his head.

"Deal." We shook hands and I checked the time, noticing that it was almost twelve and I had to be getting home soon. I know it's crazy to still have a curfew, especially since I'm eighteen, but my dad was strict and I still had to obey his rules.

Putting my helmet on, I mounted my motorcycle and started it up, making my way towards the starting point.

"Down to the end and back, gorgeous. Think you can handle that?" The guy asked, making me roll my eyes. I can't wait to beat his ass just so he can shut the fuck up!

"On your marks, get set....GO!" We both took off, but he was ahead of me, which was perfectly fine. I wasn't worried about that. I want him to think that he's winning, only because then he'll slip up and do something cocky and stupid.

I've been riding motorcycles since I was fourteen years old and I was highly skilled, especially when it came to racing. My Uncle Robin and I would race all the time and though he was skilled as well...I was better.

Gaining on him a little, I leaned to the left and pulled up beside him, looking over at him while he glared at me. If only he could see the kiss I blew at him before leaving his ass in the dust, as I drove ahead and whipped my car back around, making my way back up the street. As I neared the finish line, an ugly purple ass car came flying towards me, making me swerve as I lost control of my bike.

"Shit!" I gasped, jumping on the side of the bike as I slid through the finish line; looking back to see where my competition was.

There was a roaring sound of cheering and clapping as I picked my bike up and examined the damages. "Fuck!" When my dad sees this...he's literally going to kill me.

"I uh...I might've underestimated you." I heard from behind me.

"I knew you would. Pay up." I smirked, holding my hand out.

"See the thing is..." He began, looking behind him. "I can't pay you."

"Excuse me? We had a deal!"

"I know, but-" Pulling my pocket knife out of my back pocket, I shoved it against his neck, cutting him off mid-sentence.

"NO FUCKING BUTS! PAY ME WHAT YOU OWE ME, OR I'LL SLIT YOUR FUCKING THROAT OPEN AND TAKE WHAT'S MINE!"

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." I heard a voice say from behind him. Looking over the dude's shoulder, my heart started beating fast when I locked eyes with a pair of mesmerizing blue eyes. Judging by his pale white skin, silky green hair, and crimson red lips...it was The Clown Prince himself. It was the Joker.

"He owes me money and I want it! Now!" I spat, pressing the knife harder against his adam's apple.

"Hey now guy, chill and put the knife down." He snickered, showing off those silver teeth of his. Guy? Did he really just call me a guy? Using my free hand, I pulled my helmet off and shook my hair a little, glaring at him.

"Do I look like a guy to you?" His eyebrows go upward, as if he is surprised to see that I was a female under this helmet.

"Well...hellooo gorgeous!" He smiled, making me roll my eyes. I dug into the man's pocket and grabbed the money that he owed me.

"Word of advice...don't make a bet if you can't pay up!" And with that, I turned and was about to get on my bike and ride home, but something the Joker said caught me completely off guard.

"Hold on one second, doll." I huffed and checked the time, noticing that it was way past my curfew now. Ugh, great. My dad was going to kill me. I turned and glared at him, waiting for him to tell me what the hell he wanted. He strolls up to me and snatches the money out of my hand, counting it as he looked up at me. "I understand that he owes you money, kitten, but he owes me as well and I...I don't take lightly to people that owe me."

"With all due respect..." I began, snatching the money back from him. "I won this money fair and square, therefore...you and that dude need to come to another form of payment because this money is mine!" I shoved it into my back pocket, watching as his eyes filled with a type of darkness.

"I've tried playing nice with you, but you're pushing it." He ran his fingers through his hair and threw his head back, letting out a low groan. "So answer me this, doll face. Do you want to do this the easy way or would you like to do my personal favorite...the hard way?"

"I've always been prone to doing things the hard way." I smirked. His smile widen as he covered his mouth with his hand, that had a smile tattooed on the back of it.

"HA! HA! HA! So bold...so...so fearless. I love it!" He laughed, pointing at me. "I could kill you, you know. Put a bullet right through that pretty head of yours, watching as you bleed out."

"Oh yeah? You sweet talking me?" Of course, I knew everything there was to know about Joker, only because he and my dad were sworn enemies. Well...I wouldn't exactly call them enemies. His was actually the Ying to my dad's Yang, which made absolutely no sense to me, but I never questioned it. "You know what? I've really got to get going, but here. Since this money is so important to you, then you take it and I'll just take my L and run with it." I pulled the money out and handed it to him, but instead of him taking it...he grabbed my arm and pulled me towards him.

"Tell me, kitten. What's your name?" He asked.

"A-Alex." I stammered, clearing my throat.

"Mm...Alex." He was so close to me, I could feel his warm breath against my skin. "Keep the money, kitten. I have no use for it at the moment, but I hope this won't be the last time meeting."

"I'm almost certain that it will be." And with that, I turned and walked away, looking back to see him staring at me as I got on my bike and started it off. Though I said that this would be our last time meeting, I was hoping that it wouldn't be our last. There was something about him that made me nervous, yet very intrigued. I'm not sure what it was, but I was going to make it my mission to find out.
