"NO! ALEX!" I felt somebody grab ahold of my wrist, while I grabbed Blue's wrist, dangling over a vat of boiling hot acid. Looking up, I thought that I would see my dad or Uncle Robin, but to my surprise...I didn't see either one of them. I saw Joker.

"Joker!" I gasped, noticing that he was struggling to hold on to me.

"I got you, kitten."

"Hang on, Blue!"

"He can't pull us both up, Alex. You're going to have to let me go." She said.

"What? NO!" I exclaimed. "He'll pull me up and I'll pull you up, you just have to hang on!"

"Alex, that's impossible and you know it!"

"No it's not! No it's not!" I could feel the tears swelling up in my eyes, looking down at her, as she looked back up at me. For two whole years, I thought she was dead, but thankfully she wasn't. Now, the moment I get my best friend back in my life, she's about to get taken away from me.

"I love you, Alex." She said, as the tears fell from her eyes. She let go of my hand, slipping through my fingers, as our hands detached.

"BLUE, NO!!!" I screamed. Before she could make contact with the acid, she was caught with one quick SWOOP, returning to safety. I looked back up at Joker, as he and Frost pulled me up, backing me away from the edge.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Joker growled at me. Is this seriously how he wants to start this conversation off?

"Thanks for saving me." I murmured, ignoring his icy, harsh tone. I stood up and dusted myself off, looking over at my dad and Uncle Robin, as they dealt with Poison Ivy and Livewire. Harley, on the other hand, was nowhere in sight. "Where the hell did she go?" I looked over at Blue, who was being comforted by Frost, as they both looked at me and shrugged.

"She's gone." My dad spoke, slowly approaching me. I looked up at him, seeing the hurt and regret in his eyes, as he sighed and glared behind me. "Thank you, Joker. You saved my daughter."

"Are you sure that I saved her?" He questioned, grinning like a complete idiot. "Are you sure she isn't...dead?" I closed my eyes, knowing that Joker was still pissed off about my dad lying to him.

"I said what I said to protect her." His voice was calm and collected, normally how it always is, unless he's angry or upset.

"Protect her from what? YOU are the person she really needs protection from! Not me, not this God awful city, but YOU!" His voice held so much anger, that it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.

"Joker...please don't start this right now." I spoke up, slightly coming to my dad's defense. If I'm being honest, he did protect me from going to jail, despite him lying about me being dead. Only he knew that I was the Black Siren at the time, and he kept that a secret because he didn't want me to end up like the rest of the villains of Gotham. Unfortunately...I still ended up in Arkham, despite me not even knowing my middle name at the time. "The Gotham PD will be here soon and you shouldn't be here when they arrive." He growled and glared at me, his face softening a little, as I pouted.

"Fine." He grumbled. "But you're coming with me."

"You're not in the line to be making demands here, clown!" Uncle Robin spat, walking over to where we were were.

"Oh, I'm sorry...you're the sidekick right?" Joker chuckled.

"Yeah, the sidekick that's two seconds away from beating your ass!"

"Guys! We don't have time for this!" I shouted, clapping my hands together. Not only was Harley now gone and missing in action, but the police sirens were getting closer and I refused to let them fight over something small and stupid. "Joker...I have some damage control to do at home, but I promise that I'll be home as soon as I'm done."

"Home?" Both my dad and Uncle Robin questioned. I closed my eyes once again and sighed, not believing that I just let that slip.

"What I mean is that I have a lot to explain to them, including whatever this is between us. I owe them that much." I told him.

"You owe them nothing!" He growled, making me roll my eyes. This temper of his is ridiculous. "What if they lock you back up in Arkham or worse?!".

"I wouldn't do that to her. Not again." My dad voiced. I'm glad he added that last part, because I almost lost my shit. Joker glared at him and glanced back at me, sighing at his defeat.

"Fine." Wrapping his hand around my neck, he pulled me close to him and gave me a sloppy, wet kiss. I knew he was only doing this to get a reaction out of my dad and uncle, and it was working.

"Alright, that's enough!" My dad snapped. I pulled back and giggled, blushing at how cute and boyish Joker was looking right about now. His blue eyes had a glint of excitement and joy, with a hint of lust behind it.

"Goodbye Joker." I sighed, holding in my cutesy giggles. He signaled Frost as they quickly left the building, right as the police pulled up.

"Alex...you and Blue need to get out of here. You both are still wanted for breaking out of Arkham." My dad said.

"Technically we didn't break out. We escaped with the person that broke in. See there? Roles reverse." Blue said, making me laugh.

"She makes a valid point." I said. He sighed slowly, basically telling me that he was officially annoyed. "Okay, okay. We're leaving."

"Meet us back at Wayne Manor." My Uncle Robin said. I nodded my head as Blue and I took off running, finding a way out through the back of the building, disappearing into the nighttime.
